Job Description

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead, coach, and develop a team of planners to drive performance, engagement, and accountability.
  • Oversee end-to-end plant scheduling to optimize resources and support uninterrupted product supply.
  • Drive cross-functional planning alignment by communicating priorities and ensuring timely execution across the value stream.
  • Manage media inventory planning activities to improve accuracy, reduce waste, and support operational readiness.
  • Monitor planning performance metrics, identify root causes of misses, and implement sustainable improvements.
  • Coordinate product flow from material receipt through manufacturing, packaging, and shipment activities.
  • Provide capacity, risk, and operational performance updates while supporting planning system and process enhancements.

Essential Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Operations, Industrial Engineering, Systems Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of production planning, supply chain planning, or scheduling experience within a regulated manufacturing environment.
  • Strong understanding of Good Manufacturing Practice requirements and pharmaceutical or biologics manufacturing operations.
  • Experience analyzing operational data and using reporting tools to drive planning decisions and continuous improvement.
  • Proven ability to collaborate across multiple functions and effectively manage stakeholders in a matrix environment.

Desirable Requirements
  • APICS CPIM/CSCP and/or Lean Certification
  • Experience implementing or enhancing planning systems, reporting tools, and continuous improvement initiatives.

     

The salary for this position is expected to range between $85,400 and $158,600 per year. The final salary offered is determined based on factors like, but not limited to, relevant skills and experience, and upon joining Novartis will be reviewed periodically. Novartis may change the published salary range based on company and market factors. Your compensation will include a performance-based cash incentive and, depending on the level of the role, eligibility to be considered for annual equity awards. US-based eligible employees will receive a comprehensive benefits package that includes health, life and disability benefits, a 401(k) with company contribution and match, and a variety of other benefits. In addition, employees are eligible for a generous time off package including vacation, personal days, holidays and other leaves.
