Development Product Owner (DPO)This is a high-impact role focused on rapidly driving delivery for a newly funded initiative, with an emphasis on process automation, technical solutions, and emerging AI capabilities.
This individual will partner closely with business stakeholders and technical teams to translate evolving requirements into executable work, ensuring the team can move quickly to meet aggressive delivery timelines.
Key Responsibilities - Own and drive feature and user story creation, ensuring a steady flow of work to the execution team
- Translate business vision and requirements into clear, actionable backlog items
- Collaborate closely with business stakeholders, SMEs, and technical teams
- Prioritize and manage backlog to align with delivery objectives and timelines
- Support delivery of process improvement and automation initiatives, including solutions with AI components
- Operate within an Agile/SAFe environment to guide execution and delivery
- Communicate progress, risks, and dependencies effectively across teams
Required Qualifications: - 4+ years of dedicated Development Product Owner (DPO) experience
- Strong expertise in:
- Writing features and user stories
- Feeding and supporting Agile delivery teams
- Hands-on experience with:
- Jira (daily use)
- Clarity (epics tracking)
- Demonstrated experience working in Agile environments (SAFe preferred)
- Ability to work with business teams to elicit and refine requirements
- Experience navigating ambiguous, fast-moving project environments
Preferred Qualifications: - Background in Property & Casualty (P&C) insurance
- Experience with process automation and technical product launches
- Exposure to AI-driven solutions or initiatives
- Certifications such as Scrum Master or Six Sigma (nice to have)
