.NET Developer
JOB SUMMARY
We are seeking a Senior .NET Backend Developer to design, develop, and support API-driven integration solutions for a high-impact enterprise platform. This role is primarily focused on backend development, REST API design, and integration architecture, with a significant emphasis on greenfield application development. The ideal candidate will possess deep .NET expertise, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to thrive in fast-paced environments with evolving requirements and limited documentation.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend applications and services using .NET technologies.
• Architect and develop RESTful APIs to support enterprise integration initiatives.
• Design and implement integration solutions supporting the Supernova platform and related systems.
• Evaluate and define infrastructure requirements for API gateway and integration environments.
• Develop secure, reliable, and high-performing API services following industry best practices.
• Collaborate with business and technical stakeholders to translate requirements into technical solutions.
• Participate in architecture discussions and contribute to integration strategy and technical design decisions.
• Troubleshoot and resolve application, integration, and performance issues.
• Support and enhance existing application components as needed.
• Produce technical documentation, design specifications, and implementation plans.
• Perform code reviews and ensure adherence to development standards and best practices.
• Contribute to system scalability, reliability, security, and maintainability initiatives.
• Work effectively in ambiguous environments and identify solutions with limited guidance or documentation.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams throughout the software development lifecycle.
• Participate in Agile development activities including estimation, sprint planning, and delivery.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
• Extensive hands-on experience with Microsoft .NET development.
• Strong experience designing and developing RESTful APIs.
• Proven experience implementing enterprise integration solutions and architectures.
• Experience designing scalable and secure backend services.
• Knowledge of API gateway architecture and supporting infrastructure requirements.
• Strong understanding of software architecture, design patterns, and backend development best practices.
• Experience developing and supporting enterprise applications in complex environments.
• Strong troubleshooting, debugging, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and drive solutions with minimal oversight.
• Experience working in Agile development environments.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to navigate ambiguity and changing priorities effectively.
• Self-starter with a proactive and solution-oriented mindset.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
• Experience within Banking, Lending, or Financial Services environments.
• Experience supporting enterprise integration platforms and distributed systems.
• Experience working in Insurance, Aerospace, or other highly regulated enterprise environments.
• Knowledge of cloud-native application development and deployment practices.
• Experience with API management platforms and integration middleware.
• Familiarity with event-driven architecture and microservices design patterns.
• Experience supporting high-volume, mission-critical applications.
CERTIFICATIONS
• Microsoft Certified: Azure Developer Associate preferred.
• Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert preferred.
• Relevant .NET, API Development, or Cloud certifications are a plus.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
• Primary focus is backend API development supporting Supernova integration initiatives.
• Approximately 90% greenfield development and 10% support of existing applications.
• Strong emphasis on problem-solving, persistence, adaptability, and working effectively with incomplete documentation.
