QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Must have at least 10 years of experience designing, deploying, and implementing LAN/WAN networks in accordance with industry best practices
  • Extensive large-scale LAN/WAN/DC experience required
  • Extensive networking experience required
  • Highly skilled in consulting with customers at all levels in both pre and post-sales
  • Highly Skilled in Cisco Routing & Switching at the Data Center level (VxLAN EVPN, MSDC, NDFC)
  • Highly Skilled in Palo Alto SASE and NextGen Firewalls
  • Certifications in industry leading network products: Cisco (CCIE, CCNP), Arista (ACE L6 or L7), VMware NSX, Palo Alto, Fortinet, Juniper, Zscaler, AWS, GCP, Azure
  • Multi-vendor experience is required
  • Experience integrating SD-WAN into SASE/SSE and cloud deployments (Umbrella SIG, Zscaler, Prisma)
  • Strong knowledge of IP communication and routing is required (ISIS, OSPF, EIGRP, BGP).
  • Experience with inter-company routing is preferred.
  • Experience with Hybrid Cloud network deployments including AWS, Azure, GCP is a plus
  • Experienced with logical design models (VXLAN-EVPN, VXLAN-LISP, Advanced segmentation, Inter-segmentation routing, multi-tenancy, Device Contexts, L2/L3, VPC, VSS, Stackwise Virtual, Datacenter Zones, Spanning tree, VRFs, VLANs)
  • Working technical knowledge of network and security protocols (IPSEC VPN, SGT, SSL VPN, AAA, Dot1x, TustSec, NAT, QoS etc)
  • Configuration management of networking devices using PnP/ZTP, automation tools (Cisco DNA-Center, NDFC, vManage, Cisco Prime, Prisma, Strata, Panorama) and API scripting with Python
  • Knowledge of templating languages (Velocity, Jinja2)
  • Experience with network automation using Ansible, Terraform or other orchestration tools
  • Cisco partner post sales consulting experience strongly preferred.
  • Palo Alto partner post sales consulting experience strongly preferred.
  • Strong interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills with the ability to work well in a collaborative environment.
  • Able to conduct research into networking issues and products as required.
  • Highly self-motivated and directed, with keen attention to detail.
  • Able to effectively prioritize tasks in a high-pressure environment.

  • Related degree in computer science or electrical engineering and/or seven to ten years equivalent network engineering experience.

What will you be doing?

Your primary objective is to support Infrastructure Services through maintaining a high level of technical expertise in Advanced Cisco Routing and Switching and Palo Alto SASE & NextGen Firewalls, supporting delivery teams and engineers in the deployment of Services, and serving as an escalation point for delivery engineers. You will also be responsible for assisting with the introduction of new services, including development and documentation of deployment methodologies, and working with delivery teams to develop those capabilities in the field.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Responsible for the development of network planning, design, and implementation services
  • Pre/Post sales consultant to WWT's Enterprise clients.
  • Create Low Level and High-Level design of Data Center networks utilizing industry best practices
  • Translate business outcomes to technical solutions
  • Provide technical guidance and support to delivery engineers throughout all phases of a project including Project Launch Workshops, Kickoff calls, lessons learned, etc. as needed
  • Review client deliverables to identify opportunities to improve quality through training, mentoring, product offering improvement, and talent acquisition
  • Monitor network performance and troubleshoot problem areas as needed
  • Conduct research on network products, services, protocols, and standards to remain abreast of developments in the networking industry
  • Access the technical effort required to deliver solutions
  • Serve as an escalation point for troubleshooting of customer networks
