As a Semiconductor Design Engineer, you will play a key role in designing next-generation DRAM products that deliver industry-leading performance, power efficiency, quality, and reliability. This is an opportunity to work on advanced circuit design, influence future memory architectures, and collaborate with experts across design, verification, product engineering, and manufacturing. Depending on experience, this role may be aligned at the Principal, Member of Technical Staff (MTS), or Senior Member of Technical Staff (SMTS) level.
Responsibilities:- Design and optimize digital and analog circuits for next-generation memory products, including memory arrays, control logic, datapaths, and I/O circuitry
- Perform circuit simulation, verification, reliability analysis, and silicon correlation using industry-standard design tools
- Lead floor-planning and layout optimization to improve performance, area efficiency, manufacturability, and power consumption
- Advance design methodologies through automation, AI-assisted workflows, and technical innovation
- Mentor engineers, share best practices, and provide technical leadership across design teams
Minimum Qualifications:- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field, or equivalent practical experience; Principal/MTS: MSEE and 10+ years or BSEE and 12+ years of semiconductor design experience; SMTS: 15+ years of semiconductor design experience with demonstrated technical leadership
- Extensive knowledge of CMOS circuit design and device physics.
- Proven experience with state machine logic and design verification techniques.
- Experience with power network (PDN) analysis.
- Proficiency with Verilog modeling and simulation tools as well as experience with a scripting language (Python, Tcl, Perl, etc.).
Preferred Qualifications:- Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
- Experience with DDR5, LPDDR5/LPDDR6, GDDR6/7, or HBM3/HBM4 memory technologies
- Experience with FINESIM, HSPICE, or similar circuit simulation tools
- Experience leading complex design projects, providing technical direction, and mentoring engineers
- Exposure to AI/ML-assisted design flows, automation frameworks, or agentic AI applications in semiconductor design
The US base salary range that Micron Technology estimates it could pay for this full-time position is:
$215,000.00 - $416,000.00 a year
Additional compensation may include benefits, bonuses and equity.
