Full Job Description
The Distinguished Cloud Architect leads centralized Engineering practices focused on delivering platforms that enable D&B to develop, deploy, and secure cloud-based solutions.

This role is vital to furthering Dun & Bradstreet's position as an industry leader providing trusted, grounded, reliable data, client, and AI enabling services.

The Cloud Architect collaborates with various development and engineering teams to create reference architectures, enterprise standards, and reusable content to aid in the deployment of services and solutions leveraged by Dun & Bradstreet's global platforms.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Lead and drive delivery of the centralized solutions for the most critical and strategic solutions in D&B, providing reference architectures and baseline implementations where appropriate.
  • Develop and evangelize standards, guardrails, and implementation architectures for re-use across the enterprise.
  • Provide leadership and guidance on implementing secure abstraction-layer and Infrastructure-as-Code solutions that enable the development and SRE teams to rapidly deploy solutions in the cloud.
  • Create, plan, and communicate roadmaps with management, stakeholders, and the team.
  • Act as a consultant to development groups to modernize existing business applications and facilitate solutions to meet business requirements, including working with AI-driven solutions.
  • Mentor engineers and architects and work closely with business partners to ensure solutions planned will meet business objectives.
  • Partner with Cyber Security and Risk groups to evaluate and interpret security policies, and design and implement guardrails, controls, and standards that support security policies to mitigate risks.


Essential Skills Needed:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
  • 15+ years in technology, including 5+ years as a Cloud Architect, with demonstrated experience designing and delivering large-scale solutions in GCP and/or AWS, including application migrations.
  • Advanced expertise in GCP (preferred) and/or AWS, including certifications (e.g., Professional Cloud Architect), and experience building and managing data platforms (BigQuery, Cloud SQL, big data solutions).
  • Hands-on experience with DevOps/DevSecOps, CI/CD (e.g., Cloud Build), Infrastructure as Code (Terraform), containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), and emerging technologies such as GenAI, RAG, and related frameworks.
  • Strong understanding of cloud architecture patterns, IAM, security models, and enterprise-scale design principles across distributed systems.
  • Proficiency in modern programming languages (e.g., Python, Java, PHP) and ability to apply development best practices in cloud-native environments.
  • Proven ability to present to and influence executive leadership, collaborate across matrixed organizations, and clearly communicate complex technical concepts to diverse audiences.
  • Self-starter with strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills; capable of managing multiple priorities, anticipating risks, and delivering high-quality outcomes in fast-paced environments.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, positive attitude, and commitment to quality and continuous improvement.
  • Experience with Harness, Agent Development, Security Principles and Secure Architecture concepts are preferred
