Wellverse is seeking a strategic and results-driven Director of Technology Vendor & Asset Management to lead the governance, optimization, and execution of enterprise technology vendor relationships and technology asset lifecycle management. This leader will be responsible for maximizing value from strategic technology investments, ensuring effective supplier performance, driving cost optimization, and establishing a best-in-class asset management function that supports Wellverse's growth as an independent healthcare services organization.

The Director will oversee vendor strategy, contract governance, hardware and software asset management, financial controls, lifecycle planning, compliance, and operational processes across the enterprise technology portfolio. This role partners closely with Procurement, Finance, Security, Technology, Legal, and business leaders to ensure technology investments deliver measurable business value while minimizing risk and operational complexity.

Key Responsibilities

Vendor Management Leadership

  • Develop and execute the enterprise technology vendor management strategy aligned to Wellverse business objectives.

  • Serve as executive relationship owner for strategic technology suppliers and managed service providers.

  • Establish governance frameworks, scorecards, business reviews, and performance management processes across all technology vendors.

  • Lead quarterly business reviews and executive steering committees with critical service providers.

  • Partner with Procurement and Legal to negotiate software, hardware, telecom, SaaS, cloud, and managed services agreements.

  • Drive contract standardization, renewal planning, risk mitigation, and vendor rationalization initiatives.

  • Monitor supplier performance against SLAs, KPIs, contractual commitments, and business outcomes.

  • Identify opportunities to reduce costs while improving service quality and innovation.

  • Develop escalation and remediation plans for underperforming vendors.

  • Ensure vendor alignment with Wellverse security, architecture, compliance, and operational standards.

Technology Asset Management

  • Lead enterprise-wide hardware, software and technology asset management programs.

  • Establish governance and standards for asset acquisition, deployment, utilization, maintenance, recovery, and disposition.

  • Develop lifecycle strategies for end-user devices, peripherals, mobile solutions, infrastructure assets, and software portfolios.

  • Ensure accurate asset inventories and enterprise visibility across all technology assets.

  • Drive software license compliance and optimization programs.

  • Lead processes supporting software asset management, software audit readiness, and licensing compliance.

  • Identify opportunities for license consolidation, contract optimization, and cost avoidance.

  • Oversee asset-related metrics, reporting, analytics, forecasting, and lifecycle planning.

  • Partner with Security and Compliance teams to ensure appropriate controls throughout the asset lifecycle.

Financial & Operational Management

  • Own technology asset and vendor-related operating budgets.

  • Develop financial models supporting investment planning, renewals, vendor consolidation, and cost optimization.

  • Drive annual budgeting and strategic planning initiatives for vendor and asset portfolios.

  • Establish performance metrics and reporting for leadership and executive stakeholders.

  • Deliver measurable improvements in vendor performance, asset utilization, compliance, and total cost of ownership.

  • Ensure operational processes are efficient, scalable, and aligned with Wellverse objectives.

Governance, Risk & Compliance

  • Implement governance processes supporting technology procurement, contract management, and asset lifecycle controls.

  • Ensure compliance with licensing requirements, contractual obligations, regulatory standards, and corporate policies.

  • Identify vendor, contractual, operational, financial, and technology risks and develop mitigation plans.

  • Support internal and external audits related to technology assets and supplier agreements.

  • Establish controls that ensure accurate reporting, asset accountability, and contractual compliance.

Leadership & Talent Development

  • Build and lead a high-performing team responsible for vendor management, software asset management, hardware asset management, and operational governance.

  • Develop organizational capabilities and best practices that support Wellverse's future-state operating model.

  • Foster a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, customer service, and operational excellence.

  • Coach and mentor managers and individual contributors while supporting succession planning and leadership development.

  • Create strong partnerships across Technology, Finance, Procurement, Legal, HR, and Business Operations teams.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Business Administration, Supply Chain, Finance, or related field.

  • 10+ years of progressive technology leadership experience.

  • 5+ years of leadership experience managing vendor management, IT procurement, technology operations, or asset management functions.

  • Experience managing multi-million-dollar technology vendor portfolios and enterprise supplier relationships.

  • Proven experience leading software asset management (SAM) and/or IT asset management (ITAM) programs.

  • Strong contract negotiation, financial management, and supplier governance experience.

  • Experience establishing vendor performance scorecards and executive business reviews.

  • Demonstrated success driving cost optimization and operational efficiency initiatives.

  • Strong executive communication, stakeholder management, and influencing skills.

  • Experience operating within regulated healthcare, pharmaceutical, distribution, or highly complex enterprise environments.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience supporting large-scale infrastructure, cloud, workplace technology, end-user computing, and digital workspace environments.

  • Experience with SaaS licensing models, cloud consumption management, and managed services governance.

  • Experience supporting mergers, divestitures, carve-outs, or organizational transformations.

  • Certifications such as:

    • Certified Software Asset Manager (CSAM)

    • Certified IT Asset Manager (CITAM)

    • ITIL

    • Certified Technology Procurement Professional (CTPP)

    • PMP or equivalent

Success Measures (First 12-18 Months)

  • Establish Wellverse enterprise vendor governance model and executive review cadence.

  • Implement enterprise asset management standards and lifecycle processes.

  • Achieve measurable reductions in technology spend through optimization and supplier negotiations.

  • Improve software license compliance and audit readiness.

  • Deliver accurate asset inventory visibility across the enterprise.

  • Create KPI dashboards and executive reporting for vendor and asset performance.

  • Support Wellverse technology separation and independent operating model objectives through disciplined supplier and asset governance.
