Full Job Description
As a Director, Strategy & Operations, you will report to the Sr. Director, Strategy and Operations. You will partner with business and functional leadership teams at Loblaw Digital to develop strategic plans that identify opportunities, risks and metrics to measure outcomes.

What You'll Do
  • Independently lead high-priority, cross-functional initiatives from problem definition through implementation and measurement
  • Form hypotheses, conduct research and develop quantitative analyses that identify and size opportunities, risks and strategic choices
  • Create concise executive narratives and materials for leadership meetings, enterprise forums, external meetings and company-wide communications
  • Design and implement improvements to organizational processes, governance, operating rhythms and cross-functional ways of working
  • Build alignment between Loblaw Digital leaders and Loblaw enterprise partners, resolve dependencies and help teams move from discussion to decision


Does this sound like you?
  • Seven or more years of relevant experience, with progressively greater responsibility
  • A demonstrated record of taking ambiguous questions from initial hypothesis through analysis, recommendation, implementation and measurable outcome
  • Strong analytical capabilities, including the ability to work hands-on with data, quantify opportunities and risks, test assumptions and build compelling business cases
  • Experience influencing senior leaders and resolving disagreement without relying on formal authority
  • Strong execution and change-leadership skills, including the ability to establish plans, governance and measures of success
  • A record of coaching colleagues, developing talent and improving the quality of a team's work
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication, with the ability to make complex issues clear and facilitate productive executive discussions
  • Curiosity about digital consumer experiences, retail and e-commerce and emerging technologies
