CR Plastic Products transforms recycled plastic into durable, high-quality outdoor furniture. We combine product innovation, manufacturing expertise and strong retail partnerships to create products designed for long-term use while giving discarded plastic new purpose.

We are seeking an accomplished commercial leader to join our team as Director, Sales & Strategic Partnerships. Reporting to the Vice President, Sales, Marketing & Strategic Partnerships, this position will lead the strategy, relationship and growth plan for Costco, build Amazon into a meaningful long-term channel, and provide strategic oversight across CR Plastic Products' broader Canadian retail portfolio.

This is a senior, hands-on role for someone who can shape strategy, influence major customers and translate opportunities into profitable, executable programs. The Director will work closely with Product Development, Marketing, Operations, Supply Chain and Finance to align customer expectations with product direction, manufacturing capabilities and commercial objectives.

What You Will Do
  • Own the strategy, relationship and multi-year growth plan for Costco across in-club and online channels.
  • Build strong relationships with Costco buyers, merchants, category leaders and senior stakeholders.
  • Lead customer meetings, line reviews, product presentations, commercial negotiations and annual planning discussions.
  • Expand distribution and assortment while delivering sustainable revenue and margin growth.
  • Lead the development and scaling of Amazon as a significant growth channel.
  • Provide strategic direction and performance oversight to external broker partners supporting Canadian Tire, Home Hardware, Walmart and other Canadian accounts.
  • Identify and advance high-potential channel and strategic partnership opportunities in Canada and, where aligned, North America.
  • Maintain a strong understanding of the outdoor furniture and outdoor-living market, including consumer trends, retailer strategies and competitive activity.
  • Engage customers in forward-looking discussions regarding future assortments, design direction and product needs.
  • Partner with Product Development, Marketing and Operations to turn customer and market insights into differentiated products and programs.
  • Own annual sales plans, forecasts, customer budgets and commercial performance reporting.
  • Apply strong financial judgment to pricing, costing, margin, promotional programs and customer profitability.
  • Establish the systems, planning discipline and administrative rigour required to manage complex, high-growth accounts.
  • Align customer commitments with operational capacity, supply-chain requirements, financial objectives and product-development timelines.
  • Provide leadership with timely, fact-based updates on performance, opportunities, risks and required decisions.
  • Take ownership of outcomes, independently bring forward solutions and ensure priorities move from strategy through execution.
  • Travel up to approximately 25% for customer meetings, trade shows, showroom activity and other business requirements.

What You Bring
  • At least three years of successful Director-level sales or commercial leadership experience.
  • Demonstrated ability to shape strategy and lead complex, high-value customer relationships.
  • Significant direct experience managing and growing Costco; established Costco relationships are strongly preferred.
  • Meaningful experience within furniture, outdoor living or a closely related durable-goods category.
  • Strong understanding of product, design, innovation and retail assortment planning.
  • Experience building or scaling Amazon and other e-commerce channels is a strong asset.
  • Experience leading external sales brokers and managing major Canadian retail accounts is an asset.
  • Experience with private-label programs and within a manufacturing organization is preferred.
  • A proven record of delivering measurable revenue and margin growth.
  • Strong commercial and financial acumen, including forecasting, pricing, costing, budgeting and profitability.
  • A highly organized and systems-oriented approach, with the administrative discipline to manage detailed programs and complex customer expectations.
  • Strong executive presence, negotiation capability and the ability to influence customers and internal stakeholders at all levels.
  • An independent, highly engaged and solutions-focused mindset, with the confidence to bring forward ideas and take ownership of results.

What We Offer
  • Annual salary of $160,000.
  • Bonus up to 20%.
  • The opportunity to lead and grow some of CR Plastic Products' most important customer relationships.
  • A senior commercial mandate with meaningful influence over sales strategy, product direction and future growth.
