Full Job Description
POSITION TITLE: Director, Quality and Field Processes

CLASSIFICATION: Exempt

POSITION OVERVIEW:

ADB is a Nationwide full turnkey provider of technology infrastructure solutions including Wireline, Wireless, Technology, Critical Infrastructure, and Engineering. Our customer centric approach has ensured long-term relationships with commercial clients, service providers, local, state, and federal government organizations. We recognize our team members as our greatest asset, ensuring that their safety, well-being, and career growth are always our number one priority. Our ALL IN culture includes a focus on Safety, Wellness, Learning, Diversity and Inclusion, and giving back to our communities.

The Director of Quality and Field Processes is responsible for building, documenting, and continuously improving the field process and systems that govern how ADB Companies delivers work, while also owning the quality training and improvement programs that ensure team members execute against those standards. This role sits at the intersection of process design and quality performance and is expected to split time evenly between the two. This is a foundational role defining how field process documentation and quality training are structured going forward, working closely with safety, operations, and regional leadership to translate field practice into measurable, repeatable, and auditable standards.

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Field Process, Measures, and Systems Documentation and Training
  • Document existing field processes and workflows across regions, identifying inconsistencies and gaps between stated standards and actual field practice
  • Build and maintain a centralized library of field process documentation, work instructions, and standard operating procedures that is usable at the crew level
  • Document measurement strategies and reporting definitions around field execution - efficiency, utilization, etc.
  • Partner with Operations and IT & Business Transformation to align field process documentation with existing systems (ex. OneVizion, NetSuite, and related field platforms) so documented process reflects how the systems work
  • Baseline field measures; lead process improvement efforts on identified field workflows, using business impact modeling, level of effort, as well as field and regional input to prioritize which processes are documented or redesigned first
  • Establish a review cadence and workflow to keep field process documentation current and unambiguously retrievable as systems, equipment, and regulatory requirements change

Quality Training and Improvement
  • Document measurement strategies and reporting definitions around field quality: defects, rework, non-conformance for both internal labor and sub-contractors / vendor partners
  • Design and deliver quality training programs for field Teams, tying training content directly to documented field processes
  • Build quality improvement initiatives addressing recurring defects, rework, or non-conformance identified in the field
  • Develop quality reporting and scorecards in partnership with regional operations leadership to track performance and improvement over time
  • Partner with Safety on shared field-facing training and documentation efforts to avoid duplication and keep messaging consistent
  • Support root cause analysis on recurring quality issues and reinform existing process documentation and training content
  • Performs other position duties when requested

SUCCESS FACTORS:
  • Ability to travel nationwide
  • A strong belief in ZERO - Being safe 100% of the time is the expectation
  • Alignment with company mission, vision, and values
  • A high level of customer centricity
  • Proven ability to lead leaders; builds and develops managers, not just individual contributors
  • Ability to perform in a fast-paced work environment
  • A high level of time management, accountability, and prioritization skills
  • Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and driven to accomplish department goals
  • Ability to be organized, problem solve, and be solution oriented
  • Strong ability to influence desired outcomes by master relationship building
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
  • Strategic and forward thinking with strong business and financial acumen
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Word, Excel, etc.)

WORK ENVIRONMENT:
  • This role operates out of ADB's corporate headquarters located in Pacific, MO or one of our offices in Dallas, San Antonio, Atlanta, Houston, Lockport, or remote depending on location
  • This role operates out of a temperature-controlled office environment
  • This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as laptops, copiers, and cell phones

EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION:
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, or equivalent combination of education and experience in construction, telecommunications, or specialty contracting
  • 5+ years of experience in quality, process improvement, or field operations, ideally within telecommunications infrastructure, utilities, or specialty contracting
  • Demonstrated experience writing field-usable process documentation, not just policy-level documentation
  • Experience designing or delivering training programs for a field-based workforce
  • Working knowledge of quality frameworks (such as Lean, Six Sigma, or ISO-based approaches) is preferred but not required
  • Proven record of working independently to prioritize and build processes from the ground up
