Description

The PMO Processes and Tools Director is a senior-level position responsible for establishing, implementing, and maintaining project management methodologies, standards, and tools within an organization. This role involves strategic planning, project governance, and resource management to ensure that projects are completed on time, within scope, and within budget. Specifically, this role is responsible for the maintenance of Portfolio Prioritization Management Tools (PPM) and help manage key project activation and resourcing requirements. Cross functionally, your responsibilities will focus on successfully executing enterprise-wide programs through planning, implementing.You play a critical role in communicating progress and maintaining visibility with regular updates across the key business stakeholders and to the Copeland executive team. You are the connection point between the business, global program teams, and the internal communications team to ensure holistic change communication. You are a self-starter who enjoys working in a team and working in a matrix environment.

As the Director, PMO Processes and Tools, you will:

  • Lead the strategic planning efforts and define project management methodologies; ensuring that all projects adhere to standardized best practices and organizational policies

  • Allocate resources across various projects based on priorities, schedules, and budgets; this includes investing in project management software and archiving project data for future use

  • Analyze and roll out PMO tools for planning, managing, and tracking projects; this also involves conducting necessary training for project management staff

  • Monitor project progress and compliance with organizational standards; reporting performance and progress to the executive team and conducting performance reviews

Required education, experiences & skills:

  • Bachelor's degree in business and a minimum of ten (10) years of experience in a related industry position. Program management experience is acceptable

  • Experience maturing a PMO and PMO best practices

  • Demonstrated experience in leading lean/ operational excellence initiatives

  • High level of emotional intelligence, influencing skills, and communication skills to enable collaboration with a variety of key stakeholders including senior executive stakeholders

  • Strong business and financial acumen, including strong problem-solving skills, data analysis, critical thinking, business analysis and organizational skills

  • You have a proven track record in building cross-functional relationships with ability to influence others across different levels within the organization

  • You have strong facilitation, analytical and presentation skills with a proven track record in breaking down complex, ambiguous business problems into structured approaches and actions

  • You demonstrate strong leadership and communication skills in your work with senior executives across various geographies

  • You excel in project management, problem solving, verbal and written communication

  • You have passion for building new capabilities and functions from ground-up

  • You are flexible and highly resilient to change and ambiguity

Collaboration First Hybrid Work Arrangements:

This role is hybrid eligible with the requirement to be in office at least three days per week.
