Full Job Description
As Director, Performance Media, you'll:

Performance Media Leadership & Growth
  • Own the end-to-end paid media strategy and execution across Meta, TikTok, YouTube, and Google (Search & Display), driving customer acquisition and revenue growth.
  • Deliver consistently against core commercial metrics, including CAC, ROAS, and Cost of Sales, while aligning channel-level KPIs to overarch business objectives.
  • Support high-level media investment decisions, including complex budget allocations, pacing, and channel mix optimization to maximize efficiency.
  • Balance lower-funnel conversion tactics with broader full-funnel growth opportunities to build long-term brand equity and scale.

Campaign Execution & Optimization
  • Lead the day-to-day and monthly optimization of all paid digital channels to ensure peak performance.
  • Establish and scale a structured testing roadmap covering creative assets, audience segmentation, bidding strategies, and landing page optimization.
  • Maintain rigorous standards for campaign setup, tagging, tracking, and measurement to ensure data integrity and real-time reporting accuracy.

Team Leadership & Collaboration
  • Lead and mentor the in-house media team, providing direct oversight for the Senior Manager of Affiliates and the Senior Manager of Paid Social.
  • Partner with Creative, Brand, CRM, and E-commerce teams to ensure a seamless consumer journey and integrated campaign execution.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to ensure media strategies remain in lockstep with broader brand and commercial priorities.
  • Manage high-level relationships with platform partners (Google, Meta, TikTok) and external agencies to unlock exclusive opportunities and support.

UK Partnership & Strategic Alignment
  • Partner with the UK central performance media team to leverage global best practices, strategic frameworks, and advanced tools.
  • Share performance insights across markets to identify opportunities for improved media effectiveness while ensuring strong local execution in the US.

Analytics, Measurement & Insights
  • Own the performance reporting suite and support financial planning/forecasting in partnership with Finance and Analytics teams.
  • Contribute to the evolution of attribution modeling, incrementality testing, and audience understanding to refine spend and targeting.
  • Translate raw data and consumer insights into actionable strategic recommendations that drive efficiency.

Innovation & Growth
  • Stay at the forefront of emerging platform trends, tools, and media opportunities to maintain a competitive edge.
  • Proactively identify and pitch new approaches, channel innovations, and testing opportunities to improve acquisition efficiency and audience growth.


What skills and experience do I need for this role?
  • 5+ years Industry experience: Professional background in Performance Marketing or Paid Media, with a proven track record in DTC and/or the Beauty category.
  • Demonstrated success in managing high-growth media budgets ($5M+) and consistently delivering against aggressive CAC and ROAS targets.
  • Advanced technical expertise across Meta, TikTok, and Google/YouTube platforms; solid understanding of attribution, incrementality, and A/B testing frameworks.
  • Strong leadership and mentorship skills with experience managing direct reports and leading cross-functional projects.
  • Ability to navigate global environments; must be comfortable collaborating with international teams (UK central) while maintaining local US execution and ownership.
