Full Job Description
Primary Purpose:The Director of Treating Operations has the primary responsibility for the overall performance of Treating Operations, Engineering and Construction as well as regulatory compliance, budget preparation and stewardship, training compliance, safety compliance and emergency response. Responsible for representing the Treating group in meetings such as OMS, Quarterly Operations meetings, QBR's and customer meetings.

Essential duties and responsibilities:
  • Coordinates and manages the performance of direct reports, including Operations & Engineering Directors, and administration support personnel to operate and maintain the facilities in a safe, compliant, efficient and reliable manner.
  • Lead, guide and mentor a diverse team of leaders, promoting a culture of excellence, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
  • Must have working knowledge of and the ability to troubleshoot amine plants, mechanical refrigeration units, & glycol dehydrators
  • Develop and monitor annual goals and a safety action plan for the department that aligns with corporate and business unit objectives.
  • Oversee coordination of direct reports and maintain open lines of communication with internal and external stakeholders, providing regular updates on the team's performance.
  • Promotes and stewards operations & maintenance budgets. Develops, oversees and administers approved budgets.
  • Directs performance to meet or exceed all safety, budgetary, and regulatory compliance requirements and ensure alignment with corporate goals, including KM's Operations Management System
  • Provides frequent communication to employees via email, conference calls, presentations, group and one-on-one meetings to disseminate meaningful information, communicate goals, promote positive performance and develop a strong company culture.

What You Need

Education:
  • Bachelor of Science or equivalent experience required. A minimum of 10 years of thorough working experience/knowledge in gas treating operations, basic hydraulics and flow control systems, regulatory compliance standards, contract administration, and emergency response/incident command.

Certifications, licenses, registrations:
  • A satisfactory driving record as determined by the Company and a current, valid driver's license are required.

Experience, competencies, skills, and abilities:
  • Must have a minimum of 10 years of effective management experience in operations, project management, & equipment fabrication
  • Must demonstrate effective leadership capabilities.
  • Must demonstrate initiative and self-motivation.
  • Must demonstrate the ability to work collaboratively with other departments, engage with peers in problem solving and develop strong teamwork within work groups.
  • Must be able to accept direction and supervision and work effectively and cooperatively with all personnel.
  • Ability to lead and manage people in maintaining changing and/or improving performance in the area of safety, operational excellence, and risk reduction.
  • Ability to solve problems and make effective decisions.
  • Ability to effectively communicate using both oral and written forms of communication to internal and external parties.
  • Effective reading and computer skills.
  • Ability to speak and understand English.
  • Ability to work with others, take direction from supervisor(s), focus attention on details, and follow work rules.

Working conditions:
  • The regular work environment is typically in an office. However, work will often require the director to be outside at facilities and exposed to extreme heat, cold and inclement weather.
  • Actual travel will vary significantly with ongoing work requirements; however, an average of approximately 33% is expected.
  • Work inside and outside and frequent travel to facilities. Additional travel to meeting locations as required.
