As Director of Rooms with Royal Sonesta Boston, you will have the opportunity to apply what you know, strengthen as a leader, and increase your understanding of hotel operations.
As Director of Rooms, you will:
- Oversee rooms and related area operations, including Front Office, Guest Services, and Housekeeping, to ensure a safe, comfortable environment for guests. Get out from behind the desk to observe guest experiences and staff interactions. Actively listen and transform problems into solutions, making it right for the guest and opening channels for associates.
- Build and foster a strong team. Create an environment that is engaging, where motivated people want to join, learn, do their best, and advance. Lead a diverse team by modeling the way, by empowering, and coaching throughout the employment lifecycle.
- Keep a pulse on operational and financial performance. Actively participate in the budget process, and accurately forecast for optimal staff and supply levels, maximum flow-through, and exceptional guest experience.
As a member of the Executive Committee reporting directly to the General Manager, we seek a strong leader with a minimum of 5-7 years of Rooms Division Leadership experience. A four year college degree or equivalent education or experience is required, with four to five years experience in a related positions. To be successful in this role, you must be able to read, write, and verbally communicate effectively and professionally in English with associates, guests, and leadership. You must be able to deal with difficult situations and people, while exhibiting a consistent level of professionalism. You will regularly use a computer and different software. Knowledge of OPERA is a plus.
Anticipated Pay Range & Additional Job Information$120k to $125k and is eligible for a bonus plan. The base pay offered may vary depending on various factors including but not limited to job related knowledge, skills and job specific experience/overall experience.
