Full Job Description
We9re hiring a Director of Resident and Family Services/Family Ambassador - a compassionate and knowledgeable leader who supports residents and families through the emotional and psychosocial aspects of aging and dementia while also contributing to community census development.

This dual role assists residents and families in understanding and coping with psychosocial issues related to aging and dementia, supports care transitions, promotes quality of life, and serves as a liaison among residents, families, associates, physicians, and community resources. The position also develops and maintains sales, marketing, referral, and public relations activities designed to promote Silverado9s programs and services and achieve established census goals in partnership with other community leaders.

What You9ll Be Doing:
  • Assist residents with adjustment to Silverado, including orientation of residents and families to Silverado9s therapeutic environment and coordination of care transitions.
  • Serve as a liaison between residents, families, associates, physicians, and community resources, including home health, hospice, legal, financial, and long-term care insurance resources.
  • Provide psychosocial support, including assessments and care plans focused on enhancing resident quality of life, and provide family education and support throughout the disease process and through end-of-life care.
  • Facilitate family and staff support groups and support the implementation of the Abuse Prevention Meeting.
  • Serve as a sales leader for the community, provide strategic follow-up with prospective residents and families, promote family referral programs, and generate qualified professional referrals that contribute to census development as needed.
  • Participate in and support community tours, educational presentations, care plan conferences, support groups, community events, marketing activities, and census-development initiatives under the guidance of the Administrator.
  • Participate as a key member of the Community Leadership Team, including daily leadership meetings, Manager-On-Duty responsibilities, supervision, training, problem solving, and operational support.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned

Qualifications:
  • Degree in Social Work, Marketing, Communications, or a related field preferred.
  • One or more years of experience in long-term care, gero-psych, senior services, or sales and marketing, or an equivalent combination of education and experience, preferred.
  • Experience supporting individuals with memory impairment and their families highly desirable.
  • Database management experience preferred.
  • Excellent communication, relationship-building, and public-speaking skills.
  • Valid driver9s license and clean driving record required
  • Reliable transportation to meet attendance and outreach needs
  • Comfortable working in an environment with pets
  • May be required to work outside of regular hours depending on business needs

Anticipated pay range

$90,000-$100,000 USD
