Full Job Description
Objective:

The new role of Director of Product Management (Enterprise Technologies) is a pivotal position within our IT department. The incumbent will lead a team of Product Owners, driving the overall product strategy, including aspects such as platform updates, platform upgrades, obsolescence management, research and development (R&D), and scoping for product replacements or product improvement requests. This role will actively collaborate with our Product Owners and SaaS customer success partners to gain insights into, evaluate, and articulate new features, as well as to facilitate and coordinate the training on these updates. Additionally, they will play a pivotal role in jointly designing product enhancements with our SaaS partners. The Product Manager will ensure that our product strategies align with both current and future business needs, facilitating innovation and technological advancement.

Responsibilities:
  • Oversee the strategic direction of product development and management, working closely with Product Owners, PMO and the business to ensure alignment with broader business strategies.
  • Lead the team implementing platform enhancements and bug fixes, ensuring the delivery of high-quality solutions to meet business needs.
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand their needs, translating these into technical requirements for the development and enhancement of products.
  • Manage relationships with external vendors and suppliers, ensuring partnerships are effective and aligned with our product strategies.
  • Report on product strategy progress and outcomes to senior management, providing insights into the product lifecycle, from inception through to deployment and maintenance.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement within the IT team, encouraging innovation and the adoption of new technologies and methodologies.

Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field, complemented by extensive experience in technology solutions, product management, or consulting.
  • Demonstrated experience in leading product teams, with a strong background in product strategy development and execution.
  • Proficient in managing technical backlogs and collaborating with business stakeholders to prioritize enhancements and fixes effectively.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical strategies to a diverse range of stakeholders.
  • Strong leadership and mentoring skills, capable of guiding a team of Product Owners towards achieving strategic objectives.
  • Knowledgeable in Agile and Scrum methodologies, with relevant certifications (e.g., PMP, CSM, PMI-ACP) considered a plus.
