Job Title: Director of Post Retail Operations

Position Summary:
Ensures efficient and effective operations across all aftermarket activities: Logistics Centers, recycling, and salvage, resulting in increased profit and mission fulfillment. Provides strategic leadership, oversight, and influence across aftermarket operations to maximize profitability. Responsible for the successful operation of aftermarket and post-retail activities, as well as technical assistance, training, and leadership development for GWH. Ensures timely and effective delivery of operational projects and provides leadership to DGP and Workforce Development (WFD) as needed. Key responsibilities include strategic planning, operational excellence, team leadership, and regulatory compliance.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
• Formulate and execute strategies to boost profitability, donor value, and align with GWH's mission. Lead strategic initiatives for Aftermarket Operations.
• Direct a team of exempt leaders, fostering a culture of safety, professionalism, and peak performance.
• Manage budgeting, financial oversight, and performance metrics to meet or exceed revenue targets while controlling costs.
• Direct, manage, and coordinate aftermarket operations in the Logistics Centers, recycling, and salvage operations, and ensure the appropriate operational systems are in place to generate maximum profitability.
• Operate the aftermarket teams within budgeted expenses and revenue ratios.
• Select, train, develop, and manage associates to ensure safe and efficient operations as well as mission integration.
• Monitor, assess, and document the performance of associates to make improvements and/or take corrective action.
• Train, develop, and manage operational leadership to achieve the goals set by GWH.
• Schedule and maintain labor and payroll according to GWH's policies and
procedures.
• Manage a "hands-on" physical work environment throughout the Logistics Centers, including supporting other departments within the facility as needed.
• Ensure the promotion, collection, production, sales, and internal/external distribution of donated goods and operational and sales activities are integrated to achieve maximum profitability and quality customer service.
• Ensure good stewardship of all donations through proper handling and processing of incoming donation flow in and out of the Logistics Centers.
• Responsible for the image, maintenance, asset protection, loss prevention, safety, and security of the Logistics Centers.
• Responsible for ordering and maintaining supplies and all GWH property securely.
• Operationally responsible for safety, safety inspections, and reporting.
• Ensures that accidents, incidents, near-misses, or property damage are reported in a timely manner according to GWH policies.
• Ensure pre-shift huddles occur to provide daily expectations, communicate relevant GWH policies and operating procedures, and ensure compliance with various regulatory agencies (OSHA, etc.).
• Assist the Vice President with contingency procedures and SOPs required to ensure that aftermarket operations are effective and efficient.
• Ensure coordination of loads and maintain inventory control of goods.
• Interact with other departments to ensure the timely and efficient movement of goods.
• Inspect facility and salvage equipment to ensure a safe work environment and GWH's image.
• Implement and maintain safety programs.
• Seek internal and external resources to accomplish desired results.
• Communicate and provide feedback directly related to the processing of aftermarket goods.
• May be required to participate in activities and training outside of GWH.
• Perform other duties as directed by management to support evolving organizational needs.

Minimum Qualifications:
• A bachelor's degree in business management and/or operations is preferred; equivalent professional experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
• A minimum of five (5) years of managerial experience in multi-unit retail, warehouse, or production.
• A minimum of three (3) years of experience managing and negotiating with vendors is preferred.
• A minimum of three (3) years of managerial experience in business production or logistics is preferred.
• General logistics practice is preferred.
• Must have a valid Texas driver's license and a safe driving record.
• Excellent computer skills (proficient in Microsoft Office).
• Excellent problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills.
• Excellent time management and organizational skills.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship for current or future employment. GWH does not offer visa sponsorship for employment purposes.

8. Safety: Adhere to Safety Practices and Processes, Accident/Incident Reports done according to GWH Policies/procedures, consistent site inspections, pre- and post-trip inspections, etc.
9. Customer Service (Internal and External)
10. GWH LMS Training Completion 95% or better
Physical Requirements/Work Environment:
• Regular twisting, bending, squatting, kneeling, pushing, and pulling.
• Ability to lift up to 40 lbs. and, occasionally, lift/move items up to 100 lbs. (e.g., large bags of donations, televisions, furniture, etc.)
• Must be able to stand for extended periods of time.
• Moderate indoor noise with periodic exposure to outside temperatures.
