Mountain Vista Senior Living | American Baptist Homes of the MidwestMountain Vista Senior Living is hiring a Director of Nursing (DON) - Registered Nurse to lead clinical operations within our senior living community. What You'll Do:- Lead the delivery of high-quality resident care and clinical services
- Manage and mentor nursing staff while overseeing caregiving teams and daily operations
- Conduct resident assessments and guide individualized care planning
- Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local clinical regulations
- Promote residents' physical, emotional, and mental well-being
- Collaborate with residents, families, physicians, and interdisciplinary teams
- Respond to urgent clinical needs and support resident care outcomes
- Foster a positive, professional, and resident-centered care environment
- Drive quality improvement initiatives and clinical best practices
- Uphold and promote the mission and core values of American Baptist Homes of the Midwest
Required Qualifications:- Must be 21 years of age or older
- Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing
- Current Colorado RN License or Compact RN License required
- 3-5 years of nursing leadership experience required
- Strong critical thinking skills and sound independent judgment
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced healthcare environment
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
- Compassionate, resident-centered approach to care
Preferred Qualifications:- 2+ years of experience as a Director of Nursing (DON) or Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON)
- 3-5 years of gerontological nursing experience
- Experience with rehabilitative and restorative nursing care programs
- Prior senior living, long-term care, or skilled nursing leadership experience
