Description

SUMMARY:

Establishes and directs an information technology department's strategic goals, policies, and procedures. Determines long-term systems needs and any hardware acquisitions needed to accomplish the business objectives. Gives technical guidance on high-priority projects and orients the team to trends in the information technology industry. Executes multiple high-impact initiatives to achieve overall goals.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Develop an understanding of Autobell's retail, HOWCO's distribution network, and GenrRevs platform as well as the support functions of the home office.
  • Create strategies to improve the efficiency of technological initiatives.
  • Select and implement technology to streamline all internal operations and help optimize their strategic benefits.
  • Develop, mentor, and manage the technology team and ensure efforts are being prioritized correctly.
  • Ensure the technical help-desk team is equipped to properly support the home office, remote, warehouse, and retail locations.
  • Create and implement program plans, policies, and schedules.
  • Ensure Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery plans are implemented, followed, and periodically tested to minimize the risk of outage/downtime.
  • Establish communications and working relationships with all departments in the organization.
  • Collaborate with project stakeholders to define and maintain the technology roadmap.
  • Partner with the senior leadership team members on strategy and ensure the technology roadmap matches and supports that strategy.
  • Manage Technology portfolio and expansion.
  • Oversee software development programs by managing internal and external resources/vendors, coordinating integration with existing systems, directing internal project and product managers, and facilitating buy-in and support from affected departments.
  • Develop and maintain annual IT Budget and multi-year program plan.
  • Cultivate relationships with technology vendors and partners.
  • Ensure compliance with internal IT policies and applicable regulations and legal requirements.
  • Provide access to data systems along with tools to analyze data to improve business outcomes.
  • Accountable for overall system architecture and documentation.
  • Develop and enforce policies and procedures to protect IT assets and the company's data integrity, security, and privacy.
  • Ensure company systems and data remain secure by limiting and hardening the attack surface and mitigating extant cybersecurity threats.
  • Continue personal skill development by participating in educational opportunities, maintaining personal networks, and participating in professional organizations.
  • Oversee Home Office network and support, end-user computing equipment, remote worker connectivity, voice systems, vendor management, email, team member communications software, and calendar systems.
  • Direct support for ERP software Sage 100c Enterprise, including GL, AR, AP, Inventory, and Job Ops modules. Coordinate with vendors and manage upgrades.
  • Act as subject matter expert for point-of-sale system technologies, guiding upgrades, new implementations, and future development.
  • Perform other duties as required or requested.
  • Contribute to the positive team efforts of the organization. Work effectively with other departments, as needed, to accomplish goals.
  • Maintain confidentiality of sensitive team members, potential team members, and organization data without exception.
  • Suggest better ways of accomplishing results.


Requirements

KEY REQUIREMENTS & QUALIFICATIONS

Knowledge & Education
  • Bachelor's degree in information technology, computer science, or another related field; required.
  • 5 years minimum experience in managing teams; required.
  • Systems development, integration, and project management; required.
  • 10+ years of experience managing one or more major information processing functions; required.
  • 10 + years of previous comprehensive knowledge of information systems technology subjects and extensive knowledge of hardware and software with the ability to keep abreast of new technologies required.
  • Experience in multi-location retail with point of sale; required.
  • Bachelor's degree in information technology, computer science, or another related field; helpful.

  • Must be willing to undergo a background check and a Motor Vehicle Report in accordance with local laws/regulations. The position requires you to maintain a driver's license to drive a vehicle for business purposes.
