Additional Information: This hotel is owned and operated by an independent franchisee, Oxford Capital Group. The franchisee is a separate company and a separate employer from Marriott International, Inc. The franchisee solely controls all aspects of the hotel's employment policies and practices, including hiring, firing, discipline, staffing, compensation, benefits, and all other terms and conditions of employment. If you accept a position at this hotel, you will be employed by a franchisee and not by Marriott International, Inc.

Job Summary

As the Director of Human Resources, you will oversee all HR operations for hotel employees, leading a team of HR professionals while managing labor relations, grievance processes, and CBA compliance. You will serve as a key advisor on the Executive Committee, providing strategic HR counsel to senior leadership and ensuring alignment between workforce management and business goals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and mentor the HR team, fostering professional development and ensuring consistent delivery of HR services across the hotel operation.
  • Oversee the administration and enforcement of the Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA), ensuring full compliance with all negotiated terms and conditions.
  • Manage the grievance process from intake through resolution, coordinating with union representatives, department leaders, and legal counsel as needed.
  • Facilitate mediation between employees, supervisors, and union stakeholders to resolve workplace disputes fairly and efficiently.
  • Advise the Executive Committee on HR strategy, labor relations risk, and workforce planning to support overall business objectives.
  • Develop and implement HR policies and procedures that align with CBA requirements and applicable labor laws.
  • Supervise employee relations initiatives, including performance management, disciplinary actions, and conflict resolution across hotel departments.
  • Partner with department heads to address staffing needs, workforce planning, and organizational structure in a unionized setting.

Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Prior HR leadership experience within the hospitality or hotel industry.
  • Proven experience managing collective bargaining agreements, grievance procedures, and labor mediation.
  • Strong leadership skills with experience supervising and developing HR staff.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and conflict-resolution skills.
  • Solid understanding of federal, state, and local labor and employment laws.
  • Demonstrated ability to advise senior leadership and contribute to executive-level decision-making.
  • Familiarity with hotel operations and hospitality-specific labor practices.
  • Technical Skills
  • Proficiency in HRIS platforms and workforce management systems.
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Experience with HR analytics and reporting to support data-driven decision-making.
  • Working knowledge of employment law compliance tools and resources.
