Director, Medical Strategy - VP

About the Job

As Director of Medical Strategy - VP, you will spearhead medical excellence, overseeing team growth, client relationships, and strategic insights. You'll require expertise in multiple products and disease states, translating complex medical information into actionable brand strategies. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive business development, medical research, and innovation, while you'll also foster talent development and department expansion.

A Day in the Life

  • Critically review agency-developed content, providing strategic medical recommendations to enhance brand communications.
  • Stay current with industry trends to provide up-to-date recommendations for brands.
  • Collaborate with internal teams, clients, and healthcare professionals (HCPs) to achieve brand objectives.
  • Ensure consistent messaging by incorporating the brand's ""medical hook"" into new content.
  • Identify and execute on medical opportunities to drive strategic and tactical development.
  • Leverage data to tell compelling, differentiating stories and optimize brand communications.
  • Facilitate and participate in proprietary workshops to drive strategic growth.
  • Foster strong client relationships through participation in senior leader meetings and workshops.
  • Contribute to business development by crafting medical insights and driving strategic recommendations for pitches.

  • Financial and operational acumen related to staffing plans, department utilization, budgets, and resource allocation.

$180,000 to $220,000 annually

Omnicom's policy requires employees to work in the office for a minimum of three days a week, unless additional in-office days are directed by their agency or manager. Our objective is to increase this requirement over time, and many of our agencies as well as Omnicom's corporate group already require five days of in-office attendance.
