Job Description:We are looking for an experienced
earned media strategist and storyteller with strong media relationships they can leverage on behalf of clients. Constantly curious about what's next in culture, the ideal candidate is passionate about storytelling, building innovative earned media strategies for today's modern landscape, securing meaningful coverage, and leveraging the intersection of earned, influencer and social to accelerate ideas across our connected media world.
As an Account Director, you will serve as a senior media relations lead and trusted advisor across integrated client teams. You will shape communications strategies, develop earned-first approaches and lead media programs that drive results for consumer brands. You'll bring a strong understanding of the consumer media landscape and the ability to identify news cycles, cultural moments and emerging trends that create opportunities for clients.
You'll also play an important role in developing and mentoring team members, managing significant workstreams, connecting teams across disciplines and contributing to the growth of Current Global's consumer media relations business. You'll be joining a collaborative, energetic team that works hard, brings big ideas to the table and genuinely has fun doing it.

You are equally comfortable providing senior-level counsel to clients, leading teams and getting into the details of the work when needed.
You are a natural collaborator who enjoys working across creative, social, influencer, digital, media and other agency disciplines to develop integrated campaigns and ideas that break through.
Your Skills - Trusted Advisor: Provide proactive and reactive strategic media counsel to key clients and serve as a senior day-to-day media contact.
- Development and Execution of Earned Media Strategies: Develop and lead earned-first media strategies from concept through execution, while connecting with integrated teams to develop cohesive approaches to our work.
- Craft Compelling Stories: Develop narratives, pitches and ideas designed to earn positive client headlines and meaningful coverage.
- Build and Maintain Relationships: Forge and maintain strong, authentic connections with key media contacts and leverage those relationships on behalf of clients.
- Be Ahead of the Curve: Actively monitor and be an early adopter of new media trends, platforms and practices that could serve clients across our portfolio.
- Have Your Finger on the Pulse: Identify news cycles, cultural shifts, consumer trends and emerging conversations that affect clients, distilling meaningful insights and inserting client narratives in targeted, relevant and insightful ways.
- Lead and Develop Teams: Mobilize, motivate and mentor junior team members while providing clear direction, counsel and feedback.
- Connect the Dots: Work across creative, social, influencer, digital, media and other specialists to develop integrated campaigns and maximize opportunities across channels.
- Bring Ideas to the New Biz Table: Contribute creative and strategic media ideas to new business opportunities and pitches.
- Drive Results: Manage multiple workstreams, priorities and deadlines while maintaining a high standard of quality and delivering meaningful results for clients.
Minimum Requirements - At least 7 years of public relations and communications experience, with a strong focus on consumer communications and earned media; agency experience preferred
- Proven experience developing and executing integrated, earned-first media campaigns
- Strong understanding of consumer media, cultural trends and the broader media ecosystem
- Experience working across earned, social, influencer and other integrated communications channels
- BA or BS in Communications or a related field
NYC Salary Range: $100,000-$130,000.
Where an employee or prospective employee is paid within this range will depend on, among other factors, actual ranges for current/former employees in the subject position; market considerations; budgetary considerations; tenure and standing with the company (applicable to current employees); as well as the employee's/applicant's background, pertinent experience, and qualifications.

Omnicom's policy requires employees to work in the office for a minimum of three days a week, unless additional in-office days are directed by their agency or manager.
