Join our growing launch leadership team! We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced marketer to support our investigational Phase III HIV prevention asset.

The Director, HCP & Scientific Strategy, HIV PrEP, U.S. Marketing is responsible for leading the integrated healthcare professional strategy for the HIV PrEP portfolio, driving provider awareness, engagement, adoption, and advocacy while ensuring scientific insights are translated into impactful customer-facing strategies.

This leader will serve as the primary builder of HCP engagement, scientific communication, congress strategy, and medical education initiatives, helping expand HIV prevention across both established and emerging PrEP prescribers. The role will work closely with Medical Affairs, Market Expansion/Consumer Marketing, Outcomes Research, Market Access, Field Sales, Data, Channel Strategy and Policy teams to accelerate category growth and improve equitable access to HIV prevention.

Reporting to the US Commercial Leader for HIV PrEP, this individual will manage 3-4 direct reports spanning HCP strategy, scientific strategy, allied health professionals strategy, and med ed/congress planning in addition to indirect leadership and oversight of a Customer Agile Team responsible for asset creation.

Key Responsibilities

HCP Strategy & Market Development
  • Lead development of the U.S. HCP strategy, including segmentation, targeting, positioning, messaging, customer journeys, and omnichannel engagement.
  • Expand PrEP engagement among both existing prescribers and new provider segments, including OB/GYN, Community Health Centers, Sexual Health Clinics, Urgent Care, and Pharmacists where appropriate.
  • Identify barriers and opportunities across the provider journey to increase PrEP recommendation, initiation, and persistence.
  • Translate customer insights, trends, market research, and analytics into actionable commercial strategies.


Scientific Strategy & Medical Education
  • Lead the commercial scientific engagement strategy in partnership with Medical Affairs.
  • Translate emerging clinical evidence, guidelines, and real-world data into relevant HCP education and engagement strategies.
  • Oversee development of disease-state education, peer-to-peer initiatives, speaker programs, and educational resources that improve provider confidence and capability.
  • Support identification of evidence-generation opportunities and customer learning priorities.
  • Ensure scientific and educational strategies are aligned with evolving HIV prevention practices and customer needs.


Congress Strategy & Scientific Engagement
  • Lead commercial strategy and planning for major HIV, infectious disease, preventive medicine, and specialty congresses.
  • Partner with Medical Affairs and cross-functional stakeholders to deliver integrated congress strategies before, during, and after key meetings.
  • Maximize customer engagement, scientific exchange, and insight generation through congress activities.
  • Incorporate congress learnings into ongoing HCP strategy, messaging, and educational planning.


HCP Campaigns & Customer Experience
  • Lead development and execution of HCP campaigns, disease-state awareness efforts, and customer engagement initiatives.
  • Ensure all HCP activities are aligned to a cohesive omnichannel customer experience strategy.
  • Partner with field teams to optimize engagement across personal and non-personal channels.
  • Leverage analytics, AI-enabled tools, and customer data to improve engagement effectiveness and resource allocation.
  • Oversee agency partners and content development to ensure high-quality, compliant execution.


Cross-Functional Leadership
  • Partner closely with groups such as Medical Affairs, Market Expansion/Consumer Marketing, Market Access, Market Research, Outcomes Research, Policy, Analytics, and Field Leadership.
  • Influence senior leadership through data-driven recommendations, business cases, and strategic planning.
  • Foster innovation, collaboration, and continuous learning across the HIV Prevention organization and Customer Agile Teams.


Team Leadership & Execution Excellence
  • Lead and develop a high-performing team, including 3-4 FTEs, customer agile team members and contractors.
  • Establish KPIs to measure provider engagement, campaign performance, scientific impact, and business outcomes.
  • Deliver best-in-class launch and lifecycle management execution.


Location and Travel
  • Location: Upper Gwynedd/North Wales, Pennsylvania.
  • Work model: Hybrid, consistent with the U.S. Hybrid Work Model
  • Travel: Approximately 20%, based on business needs.


Education Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree required. Masters/MBA equivalent preferred.


Required Experience
  • 10+ years of pharmaceutical, biotechnology, healthcare, or related commercial experience. 5+ years of HCP marketing, scientific engagement, medical education, or commercial strategy experience.
  • Demonstrated success developing HCP & KOL strategy and driving provider behavior change. Experience leading congress planning, scientific engagement, or medical education initiatives.
  • Strong cross-functional leadership and stakeholder management skills.
  • Product launch leadership.
  • Demonstrated people management, including building and motivating high performing teams.
  • An inclusive and action-oriented leadership approach, with a strong willingness to think outside the box.
  • Familiarity with pharmaceutical regulatory, legal, compliance, and promotional review requirements.
  • Ability to operate effectively in a high-visibility, fast-paced environment with changing priorities.
  • Proven ability to identify opportunities, remove barriers, and deliver outcomes with limited oversight.


Preferred Experience
  • HIV, PrEP, Infectious Disease, Vaccine, or Public Health experience.
  • Experience working closely with Medical Affairs and Evidence Generation teams.
  • Experience developing HCP strategies that support multicultural populations and advance health fairness.
  • Expertise in omnichannel marketing, customer experience design, and analytics-driven decision making.
  • Experience leading in an agile marketing model.

The salary range for this role is
$190,800.00 - $300,300.00

This is the lowest to highest salary we in good faith believe we would pay for this role at the time of this posting. An employee's position within the salary range will be based on several factors including, but not limited to relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, geographic location, government requirements, and business or organizational needs.

The successful candidate will be eligible for annual bonus and long-term incentive, if applicable.
