Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey is seeking a Director, Marketing & Communications for the Undergraduate Admissions Office within the Division of Enrollment Management. Reporting to the Interim Co-Executive Director of Undergraduate Admissions (and ultimately to the Assistant Vice Chancellor for Enrollment Management), the Director of Marketing & Communications serves as a member of the Undergraduate Admissions leadership team and plays a critical role in achieving annual and long-term enrollment goals.

Among the key duties of the position are the following:
  • Serves as the division's senior marketing strategist for undergraduate recruitment, collaborating with university partners to ensure brand alignment, effective audience engagement, and the achievement of enrollment priorities.
  • Leads a fast-paced team responsible for delivering a high volume and diverse portfolio of outreach and engagement initiatives, including an email campaign comprising more than 2,500 communications annually, print publications, interactive presentations, web content, social media, and digital marketing.
  • Develops and implements a cohesive, distinctive marketing and communications strategy from concept through execution and delivery.
  • Cultivates data-informed, high-impact, and results-oriented marketing practices that support the recruitment and enrollment of an increasingly talented and diverse student body.
  • Advances and executes marketing and communication strategies designed to engage and strengthen relationships with key audiences, including prospective students, applicants, admitted students, enrolling students, parents and families, school counselors, educators, and internal stakeholders.
  • Collaborates with other Enrollment Management units to develop and implement communications initiatives that advance divisional priorities, support student success, promote operational objectives, and ensure a consistent and coordinated Enrollment Management message.
  • Establishes a culture of accountability through the use of analytics and performance metrics, ensuring continuous improvement and alignment with institutional enrollment objectives.
  • Identifies and leverages market trends and emerging communications channels, continuously evolving Undergraduate Admissions' outreach and marketing strategies to remain innovative and competitive.
  • Leads, supervises, and develops a team of marketing and communications professionals and oversees the Marketing & Communications budget.
