What you'll do in the role:Morgan Stanley Services Group Inc. is seeking a Director, Lead Software Engineer in New York, New York to Support requirement gathering, project planning, impact analysis, effort estimation, and risk/issue tracking. Drive end-to-end design and development, including design mapping, survivorship rules, data migration, POCs, runbooks, testing strategy, and support procedures. Develop, test, and deploy ETL components, workflows, SQL, stored procedures, batch jobs and perform data analysis across sources and structures. Support migration of legacy feeds to distributed databases. Collaborate with the stakeholders using Agile scrum methodologies regarding use cases, development sequencing, priorities, and phasing. Troubleshoot all the existing batch failures and perform root cause analysis to resolve errors and strategically revise programs and codes to increase operational efficiency. Telecommuting permitted up to 2 day per week.
What you'll bring to the role:-Requires a Master's in Applied Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field of study.
-Requires three (3) years of experience in the position offered or three (3) years as an Associate, Data Engineer, Data Analyst, or a related occupation.
-Requires three (3) years of experience with the following skills:
- Technology product and delivery management functions;
- Informatica;
- Oracle (SQL/PL SQL) 10g/11g;
- IBM UDB DB2;
- IBM DB2 for z/OS;
- SQL SERVER;
- Unix;
- Python;
- DB2;
- Cobol;
- JCL;
- Product management and data-driven analysis in agile environments;
- coordinating software development solutions to meet business requirements;
- serving as primary project status contact for business and technology stakeholders;
- cross-functional collaboration; and
delivering high quality technical user interfaces.
Expected base pay rates for the role will be between $166,000 and $166,000 per year at the commencement of employment. However, base pay if hired will be determined on an individualized basis and is only part of the total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, incentive compensation, discretionary bonuses, other short and long-term incentive packages, and other Morgan Stanley sponsored benefit programs.
