UCT is looking for a talented Director, IT Apps to join us in Hayward, CA!

We are seeking an experienced and strategic Director of IT with deep expertise in SAP Procure-to-Make (P2M) and Record-to-Report (R2R) processes. This leader will drive global SAP capabilities across operations and finance, combining hands-on solution design and delivery with leadership of distributed, cross-functional teams.
The role requires a unique balance of technical depth, business process acumen, and people leadership across multiple regions.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • SAP Strategy & Delivery
    • Own the global roadmap, delivery, and optimization of SAP P2M and R2R capabilities.
    • Lead end-to-end SAP initiatives including transformations, enhancements, integrations, and support.
    • Act as a solution architect / SME, capable of hands-on troubleshooting, configuration guidance, and design governance.
    • Ensure alignment of SAP solutions with business goals, operational efficiency, and financial integrity.
    • Drive adoption of best practices, standardization, and automation across global processes.
  • Process & Functional Leadership
    • Serve as a subject matter expert in:
      • P2M: procurement, inventory, manufacturing, supply chain execution
      • R2R: general ledger, close process, fixed assets, intercompany, financial reporting
    • Partner with finance, supply chain, and operations leadership to optimize business processes.
    • Lead continuous improvement efforts leveraging SAP capabilities (e.g., S/4HANA features, automation, analytics).
  • Hands-On Technical Leadership
    • Provide hands-on problem-solving support for complex SAP issues.
    • Guide configuration and design decisions across modules such as:
      • MM, PP, WM/EWM (P2M)
      • FI/CO, Group Reporting, Central Finance (R2R)
    • Oversee integrations with upstream/downstream systems.
    • Ensure high-quality solution architecture, data integrity, and system performance.
  • Global Team Leadership
  • Lead and develop global teams including internal staff, contractors, and system integrators.
  • Manage teams across multiple time zones, fostering collaboration and accountability.
  • Establish a strong delivery culture focused on results, ownership, and continuous learning.
  • Recruit, mentor, and develop high-performing talent.
  • Governance & Operations
    • Establish and enforce IT governance, standards, and best practices.
    • Oversee SAP support operations ensuring SLA adherence, incident resolution, and system stability.
    • Manage budgets, vendor relationships, and external partners.
    • Drive risk management, compliance, and audit readiness across SAP environments.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
  • Deep expertise in SAP S/4HANA architecture and multiple modules (MM, SD, FI/CO, PP, QM).
  • Strong understanding of end-to-end business processes and integration points.
  • Experience with SAP APIs, middleware (SAP PO/CPI), and third-party integrations.
  • Ability to create complex technical design specifications and solution documents.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

Educational/Certification Requirement:
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Systems, or related field.
  • SAP certifications in multiple modules and/or SAP Solution Architecture preferred.

Experience Requirement:
  • 15+ years of experience in ERP/SAP environments with deep expertise in P2M and/or R2R domains.
  • Proven leadership experience managing global teams and large-scale SAP programs.
  • Strong hands-on expertise in SAP configuration, design, and troubleshooting.
  • Experience with SAP S/4HANA implementations or transformations.
  • Demonstrated ability to bridge business and IT effectively.

The pay range for this position at commencement of employment is expected to be between $186,500.00 and $266,500.00/year; however, base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including variable pay and discretionary awards in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits (including 401(k) eligibility and various paid time off benefits, such as PTO (Paid Time Off) and parental leave), dependent on the position offered. Details of participation in these additional compensation and benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.

If hired, employee will be in an "at-will position" and the Company reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, Company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.
