Working closely with senior leadership and cross-functional partners across Platform, Sales, Marketing, Operations, Compliance, Risk, Digital Experience, and external providers, the Director will ensure investment solutions are well-designed, well-governed, well-positioned, and well-supported from concept through delivery and ongoing optimization.

Is this role right for you? In this role, you will be:
  • Investment Product Strategy & Development
    • Lead the design, development, enhancement, and ongoing management of Tangerine's investment solutions and services across all client segments and channels.
    • Identify and evaluate new product opportunities, including managed solutions, model portfolios, SMA/UMA solutions, direct indexing, digital advice capabilities, and other emerging wealth propositions.
    • Conduct market scans, competitive benchmarking, client research, advisor feedback reviews, and business-case analysis to identify product gaps, growth opportunities, and areas for differentiation.
    • Build and maintain a forward-looking investment solutions product roadmap aligned to business strategy, client needs, advisor workflows, digital experience priorities, profitability goals, and regulatory expectations.
    • Define the critical product success factors required to make Tangerine's wealth solutions valuable to clients, practical for advisors, scalable for the business, and sustainable from a governance perspective.
    • Partner with technology, digital experience, operations, platform, and delivery teams to support the implementation of product and platform enhancements.
    • Establish product performance measures and conduct regular reviews of adoption, engagement, profitability, client outcomes, advisor usability, and overall solution effectiveness.
    • Recommend enhancements, rationalization, repositioning, or new development opportunities based on data, market insights, client feedback, and business priorities.
    • Ensure products and related processes meet applicable regulatory requirements, internal risk standards, governance expectations, documentation requirements, and oversight protocols.
  • Portfolio Management, Trading Oversight & Investment Governance
    • Provide strategic leadership and oversight for portfolio management, trading, and rebalancing activities across Tangerine's managed investment solutions, ensuring portfolios remain aligned with client objectives, investment mandates, regulatory requirements, and business strategy.
    • Establish and oversee portfolio construction, rebalancing, tax-management, and trading frameworks that support scalable, consistent, and client-focused investment outcomes across managed account programs and model portfolios.
    • Provide oversight and challenge of complex trade execution activities, including sub-advisor model changes, portfolio transitions, large-scale rebalancing events, liquidity management, and other complex investment scenarios.
    • Lead the development and continuous enhancement of portfolio management practices, trading policies, governance frameworks, and decision-making processes to strengthen investment discipline, operational effectiveness, and risk management.
    • Act as the supervisory lead for managed account programs, ensuring appropriate oversight, monitoring, and controls are in place to maintain alignment with client objectives, suitability requirements, investment constraints, and fiduciary obligations.
    • Oversee the design and execution of tax-aware portfolio management strategies, including tax-loss harvesting, gains management, transition planning, and other approaches intended to improve after-tax client outcomes.
    • Provide executive oversight of portfolio administration and investment operations activities, including portfolio reconciliations, model governance, corporate action reviews, exception management, and control effectiveness.
    • Serve as the senior business owner and subject matter expert for portfolio management, rebalancing, overlay management, and trading-related platforms and capabilities, ensuring ongoing effectiveness, scalability, and alignment with business needs.
    • Lead due diligence, onboarding, governance, and ongoing oversight of sub-advisors, model providers, and other investment solution partners, ensuring strong performance, operational readiness, and alignment with Tangerine's investment philosophy and client outcomes.
    • Partner with Compliance, Risk, Operations, Platform, and Technology teams to strengthen investment governance, improve portfolio management capabilities, and support the evolution of Tangerine's managed solutions offering.
  • Solutions Advisory, Advisor Enablement & Sales Support
    • Serve as a senior investment solutions subject matter expert for advisors, advisory leaders, sales teams, marketing partners, and other client-facing stakeholders.
    • Develop advisor-facing tools, product playbooks, positioning guides, talking points, FAQs, decision-support resources, and educational materials that help advisors communicate investment solutions clearly and confidently.
    • Design and deliver advisor training sessions, workshops, webinars, and enablement programs focused on investment products, market themes, client conversations, and practical applications.
    • Support frontline and advisory teams with complex client scenarios, product positioning questions, escalation support, and solution-oriented guidance.

    • Help equip advisors and sales teams with resources that support integrated client solutions across investing, planning, lending, insurance, and broader wealth conversations where applicable.
    • Monitor advisor engagement with tools, training, and content, and use insights to improve enablement materials and support models.
  • Client, Marketing & Content Partnership
    • Partner with Marketing, Content, Digital, Compliance, and Advisory teams to develop high-quality client-facing collateral, thought leadership, campaign materials, and educational content.
    • Provide subject matter guidance on topic selection, audience segmentation, messaging frameworks, content sophistication, product positioning, and client relevance.
    • Review investment-related content for accuracy, clarity, tone, educational value, regulatory alignment, and suitability for affluent, emerging affluent, and broader retail client audiences.
    • Contribute to the development and maintenance of a wealth content roadmap aligned with business objectives, product priorities, seasonal themes, client needs, and market opportunities.
    • Support direct-to-consumer channels by ensuring investment content is compelling, differentiated, digestible, and aligned to Tangerine's digital-first client experience.
    • Lead or contribute to brainstorming sessions that generate innovative ideas for thought leadership, client education, product campaigns, and advisor support.
    • Collaborate with analytics partners to measure client and advisor engagement with content, training, tools, and campaigns, and use insights to improve impact over time.
