The Role

As a Director, IB (International Banking) Client Commercial Technology Engineering , you will be in a high-impact role, leading a group of technology professionals responsible for technical design, development, support and delivery of Global systems solutions and Commercial Baking client systems to resolve complex, multi-dimensional business problems to support Commercial business needs. Some of the Key Accountabilities include:

  • Leads and drives a customer focused culture throughout their team to deepen client relationships and leverage broader Bank relationships, systems and knowledge.
  • Independently resolve highly complex, multi-faceted problems, which are often unstructured and without precedent to meet the business needs of the end users.
  • Apply expert financial and technological knowledge to the design of methodologies, models, and/or systems solutions.
  • May involve rapid prototyping, with requirements and solutions developed on an iterative basis that provide interim deliverables until a final production solution is created.
  • Manages major, multi-disciplinary projects to implement and deliver solutions to business problems.
  • Involve in the technology guideline of business requirements, processes and be part of preparation of business case proposals
  • Involve in the architecture definition and planning, securing, and scheduling resources from development perspective
  • Involve in the development of detailed project plans, the monitoring of progress against planned objectives, the financial review, and securing consensus and co-operation from users and senior management
  • Involve in the implementation strategy and production support for the initiatives under his/her portfolio.
  • Build and manage cohesive software architecture & data governance standards, artifacts, roadmaps, and providing technical direction for the applications assigned to your portfolio
  • Ensure best practices are followed in design and development, documentation and tools needed to support the various projects and existing production systems
  • Continually acquire and enhance knowledge of both the Bank's and the Division's business strategies and policies, risk management practices and methodologies, product offerings, financial markets, financial instruments, regulatory requirements, Back Office processes, and rapidly changing technology to be able to provide effective business solutions, services and support to the end user business lines.
  • Understands, manages and actively participates with 3rd parties, selections, administration and overall relation in the implementation of regional and enterprise projects.
  • Creates an environment in which his/her team pursues effective and efficient operations of his/her respective areas, while ensuring the adequacy, adherence to and effectiveness of day-to-day business controls to meet obligations with respect to operational risk, regulatory compliance risk, AML/ATF risk and conduct risk, including but not limited to responsibilities under the Operational Risk Management Framework, Regulatory Compliance Risk Management Framework, AML/ATF Global Handbook and the Guidelines for Business Conduct.
  • Builds a high-performance environment and implements a people strategy that attracts, retains, develops and motivates the team (direct reports and indirect teams) by fostering an inclusive work environment, communicating vison/values/business strategy and managing succession and development planning for the team.
  • Occasionally travel may be required.


What You Will Bring to Succeed

Experience

  • 8+ years in Management, software development and IT industry work experience, with clear progression through ranks, and
  • 5+ years leading and building high performance teams
  • Strong technical people management skills to drive them to succeed in projects implementation
  • Must be a strong leader with excellent interpersonal, communication, and negotiation skills to build consensus and obtain co-operation from both stakeholder groups and other technology teams
  • Disciplined in up-to-date development methodologies and familiar with software development technologies and concepts.
  • Practical experience with systems design and specification for large scale applications.

  • Responsible of All IB Commercial projects and their strategy for IB
  • Knowledge and Experience in Commercial Banking and 3r Party Management.
