Organization:
SCAH-Sutter Care at Home - Bay

Position Overview:

Ideal candidate will have operational experience in a Hospice leadership role.

Serves as a leader, expert and part owner in hospice operations, and related sales, marketing, and strategy. Will supervise ancillary regional delegates designated by hospice executive. Will be available to assist and be accountable for special hospice and system projects and coordinate with leaders across all service lines. May serve as an interim hospice administrator on interim basis. Works with agencies and agency leaders to help analyze gross profit factors, market conditions, business volume/mix, competition and operational costs. Works with the business line to ensure continued branch growth by expanding new and existing client base all while promoting a patient focused growth culture.

EDUCATION:
  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing


CERTIFICATION & LICENSURE:
  • DL-Valid Drivers License
  • AUTO-Automobile Insurance
  • RN-Registered Nurse of California


TYPICAL EXPERIENCE:
  • 12 years recent relevant experience.


SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE:
  • Knowledge of Hospice Conditions of Participation and other regulations pertaining to the program. Intermediate to advanced computer skills including WORD, EXCEL, and/or other common program management tools.
  • Ability to demonstrate communication, presentation, leadership, analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and manage change through the use of interpersonal skills such as negotiating, collaborating a influencing.
  • Demonstrated ability to achieve results on both a strategic and operational level.
  • Demonstrated expertise in operations management.
  • Demonstrated experience with program evaluation and measurement.
  • Ability to identify and document business requirements for operational improvement activities.
  • Ability to be a and consistent mentor to staff and to use disciplinary process appropriately.
  • Interpersonal skills to navigate sensitive issues and conflicts with or among others, and respectively direct and reinforce staff efforts.
  • Understanding of hospice care, palliative care services, aim program, quality management and pi outcomes/benchmarking, infection control; good understanding of reimbursement patterns for medicare and other payers; good working understanding of fiscal responsibilities, budget and financial reports.
  • Knowledge of available healthcare and community resources appropriate for population served.
  • Knowledge of home-based clinical practice and risk management as applicable to population and setting.

Pay Range is $209,185.60 to $334,692.80 / annual salary

The compensation range may vary based on the geographic location where the position is filled. Total compensation considers multiple factors, including, but not limited to a candidate's experience, education, skills, licensure, certifications, departmental equity, training, and organizational needs. Base pay is only one component of Sutter Health's comprehensive total rewards program. Eligible positions also include a comprehensive benefits package.
