Role PurposeThe Director of NA FR Distribution Cable PLM leads the Product Line Management group and strategy that supports the sales and profitability growth of North America FR Distribution product lines. Pivotal to this position is the ability to build short and long-term strategies and execute with cross-functional teams in a dynamically growing industry.
Key ResponsibilitiesKey Responsibilities:
Own end-to-end business performance including full P&L accountability, profitability optimization, manufacturing cost reduction and process improvements, and value-based pricing decisions.
Set and execute long-range product strategy, defining product positioning, differentiation, and lifecycle plans aligned to market demand and competitive dynamics. Determine how to best utilize next-gen fiber, develop the necessary cables, and build the go-to-market strategy for converting customers.
Translate market, customer, and competitive insights into actionable product roadmaps, investment priorities, and compelling customer value propositions.
Lead and influence cross-functional teams across Manufacturing, Technology, Supply Chain, Development, Marketing and Commercial organizations to deliver aligned outcomes.
Drive forecasting and supply/demand alignment, providing inputs to SIOP, capacity planning, and long-term investment decisions. Deploy capacity needed to meet the market demand.
Champion new product introductions, ensuring successful commercialization supported by technical, commercial, and promotional readiness. Interacts directly with customers to support key initiatives.
Develop and lead PLM talent, setting expectations, modeling leadership behaviors, and driving accountability through direct and matrix leadership.
Engage senior leadership, aligning on strategy, priorities, and trade-offs.

Experience and Education:Required- Bachelor of Science degree or non-BS degree with analytical background and strong potential for technical learning.
- Minimum 10 years work experience in product line management, marketing, manufacturing, or engineering in an engineering based and customer-focused environment.
- Demonstrated track record of managing projects and leading multi-functional teams
Experiences/Education - DesiredDesired- MBA or equivalent demonstrated experience (i.e., extensive experience in business)
- Experience managing people
- Knowledge of enterprise and HSDC networks; fiber / cable technology or manufacturing
- Work experience in Manufacturing, Development, Commercial and/or in a Strategy group
- Financial analysis and accounting experience
- International business work experience
- Participation in, or leadership of, multicultural and/or multi-geographic projects
Travel: Less than 25%, Some international
Location: Charlotte or Hickory NC preferred, but open to other arrangements
This position does not support immigration sponsorship. The range for this position is $177,507.00 - $244,073.00 assuming full time status. Starting pay for the successful applicant is dependent on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to geographic location, market demands, experience, training, and education.
