Job Description

The Director, Enterprise Planning will support the Company's Enterprise Planning Process (EPP) by collaborating with leaders to identify key priorities and initiatives, while governing initiative value delivery to optimize the use of funding and resource capacity. This role focuses on prioritizing initiative funding and resource capacity, aligning investments toward initiatives that will deliver outsized value for Marriott. The Director develops innovative approaches to organize complex prioritization efforts, aligning the team on the most critical initiatives to support the Company's strategic direction. They create and maintain strategic frameworks and processes to optimize company planning. The Director advises executives on prioritization recommendations to capitalize on the most profitable opportunities.

In addition, the Director develops innovative approaches to optimize portfolio management through engagement with initiative teams to remediate risks, surface constraints, and drive business value for Marriott. They create and maintain operational frameworks and processes to optimize value delivery, in close coordination with Initiative Leads, Data & Analytics, and Finance. The Director advises executives on initiative value delivery with recommendations on optimizing the portfolio to capitalize on the most profitable opportunities.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

REQUIRED:
• 8+ years of experience in strategy, consulting, business development, and/or transformation
• Prior experience in the development and implementation of a strategic planning and prioritization process
• Prior experience in portfolio management optimization, value delivery, and governance

PREFERRED:
• MBA or graduate degree

CORE WORK ACTIVITIES
• Execute the Company planning process by working with leaders to identify key priorities and initiatives, prioritizing the most valuable work for funding and resourcing.
• Develop innovative approach to organize complex prioritization efforts, with the goal of aligning the team on the most critical efforts needed to support the strategic direction of the Company.
• Intake new initiative requests with context of work already in-progress - identify overlaps and synergies, with the goal of optimizing solutioning.
• Oversee the creation and maintenance of strategic frameworks and processes to integrate and optimize the Company planning.
• Benchmark best-in-class companies to identify opportunities to enhance the planning process, ensuring optimal prioritization of revenue generating initiatives.
• Execute the Company planning process by governing initiative value delivery, working with leaders to optimize the use of funding and resource capacity.
• Advise executives on initiative value delivery with recommendations on optimizing the portfolio to capitalize on the most profitable opportunities.
