Minimum qualifications:

As the Engineering Director for the Server Platform team, you will oversee the critical transformation of Google's server ecosystem - moving our infrastructure from a human-centric developer platform to one optimized for AI agents, and changing the platform to accelerate the creation of AI-native product experiences. By redefining core frameworks, you will ensure our ecosystem supports the next generation of intelligent products and addresses the need for enhanced engineering speed, quality, and efficiency in the AI era.

For United States applicants: The US base salary range for this full-time position is $307,000-$427,000 bonus equity benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Responsibilities

• Lead the architectural evolution of the Server Platform to support AI-native workflows, focusing on reducing cognitive load for both human engineers and AI agents while maintaining Google's standards for scalability and trust.
• Manage and build a team with a culture of technical excellence, customer obsession, partnership, and bias-to-action.
• Work with cross-functional leaders to achieve alignment on strategy roadmaps, drive coordinated execution against strategic goals, and ensure the success of our customers.
• Optimize roadmap execution and dynamically adapt priorities to balance near-term customer needs with long-term strategic outcomes.
