What You'll Be DoingThe Digital Solutions team delivers strategic, innovative digital solutions and platforms to CIBC's business clients in Small Business (Business Banking), Private Banking, Commercial, and Large Corporate segments. Our team is committed to providing products, strategies, and implementation services that foster positive, profitable relationships and support our clients' evolving needs.
Reporting to the Senior Director, Digital Solutions, you will be responsible for developing, leading and executing on the Digital Solutions Strategy, in particular leading Cash Management Online which is the bank's main client facing business platform. These business payment platforms are used to deliver access to critical payment products and reporting to our clients including Wires, ACH, EFT, Bill Payments, e-Transfers, Information Reporting and Credit Card reporting. The role drives innovation, operational effectiveness, and market competitiveness, ensuring channels are client-focused, efficient, and compliant with regulatory requirements. You will leverage your expertise in business payment platforms, client journeys and design, and payment products to deliver a superior client experience through our business platforms. You will also be responsible for the leadership and management of product managers supporting both existing channels and innovations to achieve revenue growth, market penetration, and profitability through implementation of strategic and tactical initiatives, while ensuring support for frontline sales and operational teams.

- Product/Project Management - Accountable for business payment platforms and the Group/Senior Product Manager portfolio. Maximize market share and revenue targets. Guide the team in best-in-class product management practices, ensuring initiatives deliver sustainable revenue. Develop business cases, project plans, and processes aligned with organizational objectives, deadlines, and quality standards. Conduct market research and client feedback analysis to ensure competitive product positioning.
- Strategy - Lead thought leadership for Digital Solutions, supporting strategy development and tactical execution aligned with roadmaps. Identify and prioritize strategic initiatives supporting CIBC's business payments strategy. Assess and recommend options on strategy initiatives to the Leadership Team. Support strategic partners in identifying new markets and required products/services. Participate in relevant industry events and committees (e.g., Payments Canada, Interac).
- People Management - Lead and manage staff to drive commitment to the organization, team, and role. Set clear context for work assignments aligned with business priorities. Build team capabilities through development opportunities, performance feedback, and coaching. Foster product management disciplines and strategic thinking. Champion CIBC's mission, values, and compliance standards. Hire and align talent to business unit goals.
- Collaboration - Partner with internal/external stakeholders to shape recommendations for strategic initiatives. Work with Commercial Banking Technology, Retail Banking, and other partners on Digital and Payments Strategy. Deliver comprehensive analysis to influence stakeholders and drive adoption of recommendations.
- Risk & Compliance - Identify and escalate organizational risks and opportunities within strategic projects. Develop and obtain approval of project materials outlining goals, deliverables, risks, and mitigation steps. Monitor the regulatory environment to ensure all products and processes meet regulatory and legislative requirements.
Who You Are- You can demonstrate 10+ years of experience with Digital channels both browser based and online connectivity.
- You have excellent knowledge of critical payment products and reporting delivered through business platforms including Wires, ACH, EFT, Bill payments, e-Transfers, Information Reporting, and Credit Card reporting.
- You have demonstrated experience with communications to sales professionals and clients.
- You have the ability to plan, lead, and co-ordinate a number of concurrent strategic projects, initiatives and non-routine activities involving innovative approaches and a strategic orientation.
- You have strong analytical skills, with a proven ability to gather, synthesize, analyze and interpret data and information and formulate appropriate insights, options and recommendations.
- You have well-developed leadership, people management and team building skills. You have a demonstrated ability to provide strategic direction, lead, manage, coach and motivate people, and be comfortable being a people manager in a cross functional environment.
- You have strong organizational skills, including planning, initiation, delivery and review; working knowledge of project management practices and procedures.
- You have the ability to make decisions independently, with minimal direction, in order to respond to changing business priorities, and to represent the relevant business sponsor as required.
- You have strong influencing, negotiating and communication skills with the ability to build, collaborate with and lead working teams of members from different areas of CIBC, and build and maintain effective working relationships.
