This role is based at one of our corporate offices in McLean, VA, Dallas, TX, or Memphis, TN

This is your chance to be a part of an in-house Technology team that's creating consumer-facing, modern technologies improving the hospitality industry around the world! As a Director Enterprise Data Governance, you will bring your technical skills to a hospitality company with an award-winning culture. On the Enterprise Data Architecture & Governance team, you will report to the Senior Director, Enterprise Data Architecture & Governance. You will support projects, including leading the enterprise data governance strategy and operating model. This model will span metadata management, data quality, stewardship, AI governance, privacy, and regulatory compliance.

What you'll do during a typical day:
  • Lead Enterprise Data & AI Governance Strategy by building the governance roadmap, operating model, and priorities that support trusted data, analytics, AI, and outcomes.
  • Promote Governance Execution by partnering with business, architecture, engineering, privacy, security, legal, and risk teams to establish stewardship, accountability, and governance across Hilton's critical data assets.
  • Modernize Governance Through Automation by advocating metadata-driven governance, policy-as-code, and Shift-Left governance controls into cloud platforms, data products, and engineering delivery pipelines.
  • Ensure Trusted, Compliant, and AI-Ready Data by overseeing data quality, metadata, privacy, regulatory compliance, and enterprise knowledge assets that promote responsible AI, intelligent automation, and scalable data reuse.

How you'll collaborate with others:
  • Partner with Business, Data Stewards, Analytics, Enterprise Architecture, Information Security, Privacy, Legal, and Technology teams to develop governance standards.
  • Align with senior leaders across the organization to establish priorities, gain support for data governance programs, and increase adoption of enterprise data practices.
  • Work with teams to develop governance solutions that balance needs, compliance requirements, and data accessibility.

Deliverables you'll take ownership of:
  • Enterprise data governance programs, including metadata management, business glossary development, data catalog capabilities, and data access governance.
  • Governance frameworks and operating models that support taxonomy management, data stewardship, and data management practices across Hilton.
  • Deliver measurable improvements in data governance, data quality, metadata, stewardship, compliance, and AI readiness through enterprise governance measurements.
What It Takes to Make the Stay

You have these minimum qualifications:
  • Ten (10) years of experience in technology, data management, analytics, or a related discipline.
  • Five (5) years of experience in enterprise data governance, data quality, metadata management, data stewardship, and governance operating models.
  • Experience leading enterprise-wide data governance and data quality programs supporting AI, reporting, and business transformation across multiple departments.
  • Hybrid role requiring three days per week in one of Hilton's U.S. office locations (McLean, VA; Dallas, TX; or Memphis, TN).

It would be useful if you have :
  • Bachelor's Degree, or Associate's Degree plus 6+ years of Technology related experience, or High School Degree/GED plus 12+ years of Technology related experience

Hilton offers its eligible team members a comprehensive benefits package to support their mental and physical well-being, so they can Thrive personally and professionally. The pay range for this role is $160,000 - $210,000 and is determined based on applicable and specialized experience and location. Subject to plan terms and conditions, you will be eligible to participate in the Hilton Annual Incentive (Bonus) Plan, and the Company's long-term incentive plan, consistent with other team members at the same level and/or position within the Company.
