We are seeking a visionary, hands-on Creative Director to serve as the visual architect for the skinbetter science brand. As we elevate our brand image in the luxury skincare space, you will act as our creative North Star-defining our aesthetic evolution, world-class imagery, and distinct visual language.

You will partner with marketing on "net new" designs and some adaptation, managing two temporary designers for assets. You will be a hybrid of operational excellence and true creative on establishing our signature visual style, lighting directives, angles, and content pillars, while designing net-new, high-impact creative assets. Additionally, you are scrappy, resourceful, and deeply practical about leveraging our in-house studio spaces to maximize high-end visual output while optimizing shoot costs.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

BRAND VISION & VISUAL EVOLUTION
  • Aesthetic leadership: Define & evolve the visual identity of the brand in partnership with product marketing and the DMI team, ensuring all creative elevates the brands luxury, science-backed positioning
  • Photography & Art Direction: Establish definitive brand standards for all US shoots - determining our signature photographers, lighting setups, color grading, mood, styling, and product/model angles while staying true to brand book & evolving it even more upscale.
  • Style Guide/Brand Book translation: Translate DMI Brand book for the US teams to dictate how the brand shows up locally and consistently with excellence - across social, professional, d2c, retail touchpoints, and more.

CREATIVE STRATEGY & EXECUTION MASTERY
  • Take ownership of our allotted in-house studio days, maximizing its utility to produce agile, high quality content effectively & efficiently
  • Shoot planning: Conceptualize, plan, and execute highly efficient photo and video shoots that stretch production budgets without ever compromising luxury aesthetics
  • Net-New Design & Creation: Lead the design & execution of complete, net-new brand collateral, multi-page layout assets, and advanced consumer/professional touchpoints that do not require adaptation.
  • Design Consult: Work with marketing & brand engagement teams to ensure brand vision is translated clearly & accurately
  • Budget Stewardship: Strategically allocate photography and production budgets
  • Spearhead the integration of AI-powered design tools (such as CreAItech and Pencil GenAI into creative workflow to scale asset creation)

Strategic Partnership & Creative Excellence:
  • Brand Strategy Partner: Act as a true strategic thought partner to leadership, helping shape the long-term roadmap and visual storytelling of the brand.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner closely with Marketing and DMI teams to translate strategic business goals into breakthrough creative campaigns (e.g., major product launches, seasonal promos).
  • Partnership with LDB CMO teams (Content Factory) to shape & source content.
  • Creative Mentorship: Guide and inspire our internal design talent to push creative boundaries, ensuring exceptional execution across every digital and physical touchpoint.
