About The Role

The Director of Creative Services will lead and develop the Mark & Graham Creative team across digital, editorial, and photography. This role is responsible for guiding the brand's creative vision while managing the day-to-day execution required to support a fast-paced, dynamic retail business.

The ideal candidate is a collaborative and motivating people leader who can keep the team focused, inspired, and nimble. They should bring a strong understanding of digital design, brand storytelling, and visual innovation, with the ability to lead the team from concept through execution across campaigns, site, email, social, photography, and editorial content.

To be successful in this role, the Director of Creative Services must balance big-picture creative vision with a willingness to dive into the details. This person should be comfortable navigating shifting priorities, providing clear direction, and ensuring creative work remains elevated, on-brand, and commercially effective.

This role also requires an operational mindset, helping the team scale processes, improve workflow, and maximize tools such as Airtable for project management and EDAM for asset management.

In partnership with the Brand SVP, the Director of Creative Services will help shape the future creative direction of Mark & Graham, driving continued growth through innovative ideas, expanded video capabilities, stronger brand collaborations, and more holistic integration of social content with brand marketing.

Responsibilities
  • Lead the digital creative team, overseeing daily deliverables across site, email, paid marketing, and other digital channels.
  • Partner closely with cross-functional teams to understand project priorities, team bandwidth, and individual skill sets to ensure work is resourced and executed effectively.
  • Lead and coach the team on larger strategic initiatives, including seasonal site strategy, campaign look and feel, content hierarchy, and marketing cadence.
  • Oversee the broader creative vision and execution of photography in partnership with the Photo Art Director and Senior Photo Manager, including opportunities to efficiently scale video capture on set.
  • Partner with marketing and cross-functional leads to concept seasonal campaign strategies across channels.
  • Partner with the Senior Content Manager on seasonal storytelling, ensuring narrative direction cascades across creative briefs, asset development, copy, and channel execution.
  • Oversee the execution of site strategies, seasonal campaigns, and key marketing initiatives from concept through final delivery.
  • Manage and lead approvals for all creative output, from seasonal concepting to final execution, including brand collaborations.
  • Ensure brand consistency across all customer touchpoints, while continuing to evolve layouts, systems, and creative direction to strengthen brand standards.
  • Collaborate with department leads to guide creative execution across digital, social, brand partnerships, influencer content, and other emerging channels.
  • Oversee the creative production calendar and timelines in partnership with creative leads, ensuring priorities are clear and deadlines are met.
  • Manage creative team resourcing, identifying efficiencies, flagging concerns early, and bringing a solutions-oriented approach to workload planning.
  • Partner with the brand SVP to guide the evolution of the brand voice, visual identity, and overall creative expression.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to scale Airtable as the team's project management tool and lead adoption of EDAM as the brand asset management system.
  • Lead broader adoption of AI-enabled tools across creative functions to drive day-to-day efficiencies and create capacity for larger strategic projects.
  • Manage, mentor, and develop direct reports, including the digital design team, Senior Content Manager, Photo Art Director, and Senior Photo Manager; partner with brand SVP on long term growth and scale of Creative team.
  • Partner with brand SVP and Senior Photo Manager to manage seasonal photo budgets and develop annual budget for executive approval.


Criteria
  • 6-8+ years of design and creative leadership experience, preferably within retail, digital agencies, media companies, or consumer brands.
  • Experience leading creative teams across digital design, content, photography, and/or campaign development.
  • Strong portfolio showcasing retail-focused 360 campaign work, including digital, editorial, photography, social, and video.
  • Strong understanding of digital design best practices across e-commerce, email, paid marketing, and social channels.
  • Experience providing creative direction for photography and video; on-set experience preferred.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, Figma, and relevant digital design tools, with the ability to coach and guide team members.
  • Strong understanding of creative operations, workflow management, and production timelines; Airtable experience a plus.
  • Experience with digital asset management systems; EDAM or similar DAM experience a plus.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, deadline-driven retail environment.
  • Strong people leadership skills, including the ability to motivate, develop, and provide clear direction to a creative team.
  • Collaborative mindset with the ability to build strong partnerships across merchandising, marketing, photo, copy, social, and leadership teams.
  • Ability to give and receive thoughtful creative feedback while maintaining strong standards for brand quality and execution.
  • Comfort with decision-making, prioritization, and calculated creative risk-taking.
  • Curiosity and adaptability around emerging creative tools and technologies, including AI-enabled tools that support concept development, content creation, and workflow efficiency.
