Director, Enterprise CLM

Summary

McKesson is seeking a Director of Enterprise Contract Lifecycle Management (CLM) to lead the delivery, optimization, and ongoing evolution of our enterprise CLM capabilities. This role will oversee how contracts are created, managed, digitized, stored, and integrated across the organization while partnering with business stakeholders to improve efficiency, compliance, and transparency across the contract lifecycle.

The Director will work closely with Legal, Procurement, Finance, IT, and business teams to drive adoption, enhance CLM processes, and deliver scalable solutions that support enterprise objectives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the execution and continuous improvement of McKesson's CLM roadmap and platform capabilities.
  • Manage end-to-end CLM processes, including contract intake, authoring, approvals, digitization, obligation management, and repository administration.
  • Partner with Legal, Finance, Procurement, IT, and business stakeholders to identify requirements and deliver CLM enhancements.
  • Establish and maintain standards for contract metadata, document digitization, and data quality.
  • Support CLM platform enhancements and integrations with ERP, CRM, sourcing, legal, and analytics systems.
  • Monitor operational metrics, service performance, and user adoption to drive continuous improvement.
  • Manage vendor relationships, program deliverables, and resource planning activities.
  • Ensure adherence to governance, security, compliance, and records management requirements.
  • Lead user adoption initiatives, change management efforts, and training programs.
  • Conduct post-implementation reviews and identify opportunities for workflow optimization.
  • Drive implementation of AI-enabled CLM capabilities, including metadata extraction, contract summarization, clause classification, and risk identification.
  • Partner with enterprise technology and AI teams to evaluate and deploy solutions that enhance contract management processes.
Minimum Requirements
  • Degree or equivalent experience. Typically requires 12+ years of professional experience and 4+ years of management experience.

  • Experience leading CLM programs, contract management technology implementations, or related business process transformation initiatives.
  • Strong understanding of CLM platforms, contract repositories, workflow automation, integrations, and contract data models.

  • 8+ years of professional experience, including experience supporting CLM platforms, contract management technology, legal operations, or enterprise SaaS implementations.
  • Proven experience delivering CLM or related enterprise technology solutions (e.g., Conga CLM, Icertis, SAP, Salesforce, DocuSign, Pramata).
  • Experience leading cross-functional projects and business process improvement initiatives.
  • Strong understanding of contract management processes, governance practices, and enterprise system integrations.
  • Experience managing third-party vendors and implementation partners.
  • Preferred certifications in CLM, project management, or related disciplines.
  • Familiarity with AI technologies supporting document intelligence, OCR, workflow automation, or natural language processing.
  • Experience delivering AI-enabled contract digitization, classification, or analytics capabilities.
Preferred Skills & Experience
  • Experience with enterprise CLM platforms such as Conga, Icertis, Pramata, or similar solutions.
  • Knowledge of contract digitization, metadata management, and repository governance.
  • Experience within healthcare, pharmaceutical, distribution, or highly regulated industries.
  • Experience supporting integrations across ERP, CRM, procurement, legal, and analytics platforms.
  • Understanding of data governance, security, compliance, and records retention requirements.
  • PMP or related project/program management certification preferred.
