Job DescriptionWhat is the opportunity? Join an exciting new team within Next Best Action & Personalization where you'll lead a new function dedicated to leveraging data to drive Personal Banking's client strategy. The role of Director, Client Strategy Insights & Analytics will build and lead a high-performing team to leverage business acumen and data analysis to support client-centric decision making across the organization. This role combines strategic leadership, technical expertise, and people management to deliver insights that are a key enabler to Personal Banking's Vision 2030. The team will be responsible for partnering with teams across PB to define the core metrics and targets for PB's priority client groups, and analyzing the data to support prioritization decisions across lines of businesses and partner functions. This role will collaborate with key stakeholders across Finance, Value Office, Client Data Management, Distribution, Operations and the various business units.
This role will be with 3 to 4 days in the office.
What will you do? - Establish and lead a cross-functional team focused on the effectiveness of Client Strategy in Personal Banking.
- Coordinate and champion scalable data assets, dashboards, and other visualization tools to support Personal Banking strategic decisions on where to play and how to win.
- Partner with stakeholders (e.g., Finance, Client Data Management, Product, Marketing, Value Office) to define KPIs and deliver actionable insights.
- Drive thought leadership around the use and maturity of predictive analytics to anticipate client trends and opportunities.
- Hire and lead a team of analysts, fostering growth through mentorship, talent development, and inclusive leadership.
- Communicate complex insights to senior leadership, influencing strategic direction with data-driven narratives.
What do you need to succeed? Must have:- 8+ years in analytics/data leadership roles, with expertise in finance, market share or client insights.
- Proven experience building and managing high-performing analytics teams.
- Proficiency in data tools (e.g., SQL, Python/R, Power BI, Tableau, Excel) and statistical methodologies.
- Strong business acumen, with ability to translate data into strategic recommendations.
- Exceptional communication skills to bridge technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Demonstrated leadership in fostering innovation and driving organizational change.
Nice to have:- Experience in financial services or banking, particularly in client lifecycle management.
- Familiarity with AI/ML applications for client personalization.
- Knowledge of RBC's client ecosystems and data architecture.
