Position Overview:

Reporting to the Assistant Vice President, Accounting Transformation, Client Data & Reporting, the Director, Accounting Transformation, Client Data & Reporting will join a team dedicated to supporting client data usage and reporting from our Fund Accounting & Administration platform. This role is pivotal in the context of a large-scale transformation of our fund accounting business, which involves converting clients to a new system and enhancing our operational capabilities.

They are a proactive professional with extensive experience translating complex client data needs into solutions while effectively managing them through the change. As part of this transformation, the Director will play a pivotal role in digitizing, automating, and standardizing the reporting and data solutions provided to clients. This involves leveraging innovative reporting frameworks that not only meet client needs but also align with our strategic objectives for efficiency and scalability.

Responsibilities:
• Leadership
o Lead, mentor, and develop assigned analysts dedicated to client data usage and reporting.
o Foster a collaborative and innovative team culture that prioritizes client satisfaction and operational excellence.
o Perform people management responsibilities; set performance objectives for direct reports, conduct performance reviews, train, coach, motivate, lead, and recruit new staff.
• Client Data Support
o Assist in defining existing client data usage patterns for all Fund Accounting clients.
o Engage with clients to ensure a smooth transition to the strategic accounting system. This includes transparency of what the change entails for the clients in terms of any information delivery interfaces such as reports or APIs to exchange data to/from CIBC Mellon Fund Accounting.
o Assist with the collection, analysis, and reporting of client data from the fund accounting platform.
o Consult with clients on data needs and report access and provide training and support as needed.
• Reporting and Insights
o Understand and deliver solutions developed for and by the global Accounting & Administration Platform.
• Process Improvement.
o Work closely with the digital product teams to enhance and improve the product suite. This includes providing insights and feedback based on client data usage patterns, identifying opportunities for new features, and ensuring that product developments align with client needs and strategic objectives.
o Implement best practices and standard operating procedures for data management and reporting.
• Stakeholder Engagement
o Serve as a primary point of contact during transition for clients regarding data usage and reporting inquiries.
o Foster a collaborative environment by working closely with other departments to ensure that Fund Accounting client data is integrated seamlessly across the organization.

Qualifications:
• University or College graduate in business or equivalent working knowledge
• 7-10 years of progressive experience; knowledge of fund accounting, data analysis and asset servicing
• Demonstrated leadership experience with a successful history of team management
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data sets and present findings clearly.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a client-focused mindset
• Proficiency in data analysis tools and reporting software (e.g., Excel, SQL, BI tools)
• Project planning, analytical and problem-solving skills
