Responsibilities

Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated Director of Clinical Services to join our team at Sea Grove Recovery Center. In this pivotal role, the DSC will oversee behavioral health clinical services, ensuring high-quality care and support for our patients. The Director of Clinical Services' leadership will be essential in advancing our mission to provide compassionate care.

The DCS directs, facilitates and monitors the quality of Clinical Service's operational management to meet the goals of Sea Grove Recovery Center. In addition, the DCS provides direct care to psychiatric and substance abuse conditions through proper assessment processes including assessing clinical data to provide appropriate care. The DCS is responsible for ensuring the department is collaborating with the patient's family, multidisciplinary team, and other departments to support/coordinate treatment for clinically accepted patient care requirements. The DCS also manages the collaboration with varying universities for student experience(s) and the evaluation of the effectiveness of existing clinical programs plus services.

  • Evaluates daily operation of clinical programs. Seeks input from patients, staff and leaders on issues affecting patient care and delivery of services. Collaborates with the Chief Nursing Officer; Director, QAPI; Director, Risk Management; QA/Risk Manager and Medical Director in setting program standards, goals and objectives.
  • Assures multidisciplinary planning, treatment and evaluations occur effectively in patient care. Assures information is communicated to patients, families and referral sources. Attends unit staff meetings and treatment team meetings to monitor results. Reviews social services assignments to ensure care is based on need and competency of staff.
  • Evaluates the effectiveness of existing clinical programs. Collaborates with others in identifying needs for program changes. Plans, designs and takes action to implement new programs when necessary.
  • Plans, develops, assesses, monitors and evaluates performance improvement and patient satisfaction activities.
  • Monitors patient outcomes and adjust programs as necessary.
  • Advocates for patients' rights and access to services.
  • Fosters a culture of compassion and excellence within the team.

Qualifications and Required Competencies
  • Licensure as a psychologist or clinical social worker is required in the state of South Carolina.
  • Three (3) to Five (5) years of post-master's experience preferred and/or as a licensed professional in a psychiatric setting or related field; and 3 years of management experience.
  • Strong knowledge of psychopharmacology practices.
  • Familiarity with art therapy techniques is a plus.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
