Full Job Description
Position Summary: We are looking for a Marketplace Account Manager to lead the growth and execution of MEISON's Marketplace and Dropship business across major luxury and department store channels. This role owns day-to-day retailer operations, listing optimization, sales performance monitoring, and inventory execution for key digital marketplaces (Bloomingdale's, Nordstrom & Macy's) and premier dropship accounts (Saks 5th Avenue & Neiman Marcus). This position is ideal for an experienced e-commerce professional who excels at analyzing data, solving complex operational challenges, working cross-functionally, and driving performance across digital wholesale partnerships.

Responsibilities:
  • Channel Management & Strategy: Own the day-to-day operations and performance of assigned marketplace accounts (Bloomingdale's, Nordstrom, Macy's) and dropship accounts (Saks 5th Avenue & Neiman Marcus) while building strong strategic relationships with retail partners. Lead the execution of channel strategies by monitoring business metrics, identifying expansion opportunities, and driving operational excellence across internal teams. Ensure all account initiatives are executed accurately, on time, and aligned with company growth objectives.
  • Promotional Planning & Execution: Lead and coordinate promotional opportunities across marketplace and dropship partners, including seasonal events, retailer promotions, and platform-specific campaigns. Ensure promotional pricing, product participation, and timing meet retailer requirements. Monitor campaign performance, evaluate ROI, and communicate actionable insights and recommendations to leadership.
  • Inventory & Fulfillment Coordination: Proactively monitor inventory availability across marketplace and dropship accounts to maximize sell-through and sales performance. Partner with Planning, Operations, and Customer Service to resolve inventory, fulfillment, and shipping friction before it impacts account performance. Communicate stock positioning clearly while ensuring timely order processing and a seamless customer experience.
  • Operational Compliance & Content Standards: Ensure product listings across marketplace and dropship partners are accurate, complete, and aligned with luxury brand standards and retailer requirements. Regularly audit product content, imagery, pricing, attributes, and product detail pages (PDPs) for consistency. Coordinate with internal teams and retail partners to resolve listing suppressions, update content, and maintain compliance with partner service level agreements (SLAs).
  • Pricing & Margin Management: Execute pricing strategies across assigned accounts in accordance with company profitability goals and retailer guidelines. Monitor pricing accuracy, MAP compliance, and margin performance while proactively identifying unauthorized pricing issues or discrepancies. Partner with leadership to resolve pricing conflicts.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with Planning, Operations, Customer Service, Marketing, and IT to support the execution of key marketplace and dropship initiatives. Drive project timelines, communicate cross-functional priorities, and proactively solve operational issues. Provide regular updates on account performance, brand launches, and key operational updates to key internal stakeholders.
  • Sales Analysis & Performance Reporting: Track, analyze, and report on daily, weekly, and monthly account performance across assigned channels. Evaluate key metrics including sell-through rates, inventory turn, returns, margins, and category trends, to identify growth opportunities and risk areas. Prepare executive business recaps with actionable recommendations to help leadership optimize pricing, inventory allocation, and promotional strategies.

Qualifications & Experience:
  • Education: Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, E-Commerce, Fashion Merchandising, Apparel, Sales, or a related field.
  • Experience: 3-5+ years of hands-on experience in e-commerce, dropship, or digital marketplace account management, preferably within the apparel, fashion, or retail industry. Direct, proven accountability for driving channel growth and revenue targets.
  • Retailer & Account Expertise: Demonstrated experience managing major department store e-commerce accounts, with a strong understanding of marketplace platforms (Bloomingdale's, Nordstrom, Macy's) and dropship fulfillment channels.
  • Technical & Platform Skills:
    • Hands-on proficiency with marketplace integration software and vendor portals such as Rithum (ChannelAdvisor), CommerceHub, Logicbroker, Mirakl, or direct retailer seller portals.
    • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills (Pivot Tables, XLOOKUP, SUMIFS, and data manipulation) and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
    • Familiarity with AI productivity tools (e.g., ChatGPT, Microsoft Copilot) is a plus.
  • Analytical Capability: Strong analytical abilities with a proven track record of tracking sell-through, inventory levels, returns, and margin metrics to deliver strategic, data-backed business recommendations.
  • Communication & Collaboration: Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to build strong cross-functional relationships and maintain professional retailer partnerships. Comfortable presenting business performance updates and strategic growth recommendations directly to leadership.
  • Operational Troubleshooting & Compliance: Practical experience resolving daily account friction, including fixing catalog listing errors, resolving suppressed/deactivated listings, monitoring MAP compliance, and preserving luxury brand positioning across multi-brand digital channels.
