Minimum qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in graphic design or equivalent practical experience.
  • 5 years of experience working in Editorial Art/Design at an editorial (magazine, newspaper) or design/interactive agency or in-house team.
  • Include a portfolio, website, or any other relevant link to your work in your resume (providing a viewable link or access instructions) of creative work displaying experience in multiple media formats ranging from painting, illustration, motion and interactive.
  • Experience collaborating with design and motion teams (both internal and external partners).
  • Experience with Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, Sketch, Figma and other design tools.

Preferred qualifications:
  • 8 years of experience working in a creative discipline, including product design (e.g., writing, filmmaking, video editing, design, art direction, photography, etc.).
  • Experience working at a complex organization and excellent communication, organizational and stakeholder management skills.
  • Knowledge of design and technology trends and an understanding of consumer insights and how to apply these to Google projects.
  • Ability to work in a fluid, ambiguous environment and manage projects.

You will be working with a specialized team crafting Google Doodles - the spontaneous and delightful changes made to the Google logo. Doodles celebrate a range of local and international topics ranging from holidays and anniversaries, cultural and educational moments. Doodles span a range of formats including static illustrations, animations, videos, and interactive games. Over their 25 years of existence, Doodles have become a beloved part of Google Search.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $142,000-$205,000 bonus equity benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.   • Design system strategy for Google Doodles and implement design across various touchpoints. Art Direction across global markets, varied topics, wide aesthetic ranges and cultural expertise.
  • Craft conceptual artworks that convey complex narratives that are visually excellent and showcase the best of contemporary design.
  • Operate as a subject matter expert in the most current practices of design, fine art, typographic style, interactive and video storytelling.
