Design Engineer II in our
iNRCORE Facility, located in Bristol, PA
, reporting to
Senior Engineering Manager. This role is responsible for independently designing, evaluating, and validating new magnetic and electronic components, supporting production activities, and resolving moderate-to-complex technical challenges. The ideal candidate demonstrates strong engineering capability, good judgment, and the ability to support projects from concept through production.
Details of the Role:The position of
Design Engineer II will be responsible for the development, testing, troubleshooting, and documentation of new and existing products. During a typical workday, you will work independently to complete design tasks, create prototypes, interface with internal teams, and resolve design-related issues. You will also interact with customers and contribute technical input to product specifications.
Duties and Responsibilities:- Independently design, evaluate, and test new magnetic and electronic components.
- Analyze specifications, requirements, and customer data to determine design parameters.
- Develop and support prototype construction, validation testing, and design verification.
- Troubleshoot product and process issues and implement corrective actions.
- Support production operations with engineering guidance and technical expertise.
- Create and maintain detailed documentation including schematics, drawings, BOMs, and test plans.
- Communicate with customers or internal stakeholders to clarify requirements or resolve issues.
- Perform mechanical and electrical measurements using advanced test equipment.
- Stay up to date on relevant standards, materials, processes, and design practices.
- Participate in continuous improvement efforts and cross-functional engineering reviews.
Qualifying Attributes and Skills- Bachelor's Degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or related Engineering field with 3-5+ years of relevant experience.
- Strong working knowledge of analog circuits, magnetics, or electronic component design.
- Proficiency with CAD modeling tools (Inventor or equivalent).
- Ability to develop and interpret schematics, wiring diagrams, and BOMs.
- Strong analytical and structured problem-solving capability.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience with design validation, testing, and documentation best practices.
