Job Summary

SHI is seeking a Demand Generation Manager - Higher Education to lead the strategy, development, and execution of full-funnel marketing programs designed to drive engagement, pipeline growth, and revenue within the higher education vertical.

This role is responsible for translating SHI's broader Public Sector campaigns, partner programs, and thought leadership initiatives into targeted, higher education-specific engagement strategies that align with institutional priorities, buying committees, and procurement cycles. The Demand Generation Manager serves as a strategic partner to the higher education sales team, ensuring strong alignment between marketing programs, field execution, and sales priorities.

The successful candidate will integrate campaigns across digital marketing, content, events, and account-based marketing (ABM) initiatives to deliver measurable impact throughout the customer lifecycle. Reporting to the Associate Director, Demand Generation (Public Sector), this role plays a key part in scaling SHI's presence and growth within the higher education market while fostering collaboration across sales, partner, and marketing organizations.

Success in this role is measured by campaign performance, pipeline creation and acceleration, higher education market engagement, and the effectiveness of marketing programs in supporting sales outcomes.

Role Description

Demand Generation Strategy, Execution, and Orchestration
  • Develop and execute full-funnel demand generation campaigns tailored to the higher education market.
  • Translate SHI's campaign frameworks and growth initiatives into targeted, vertical-specific engagement strategies aligned with institutional priorities and buying groups.
  • Orchestrate multi-channel marketing programs across digital, content, events, and account-based marketing initiatives to drive engagement and pipeline growth.
  • Ensure alignment between campaign messaging, targeting, and execution within SHI's program-to-campaign-to-sprint marketing framework.
  • Partner closely with sales teams to align marketing strategies with account plans, pipeline priorities, and growth objectives.


Campaign, Content, and Digital Activation
  • Collaborate with content teams, creative teams, and subject matter experts to develop thought leadership content and campaign assets for higher education audiences.
  • Own and manage higher education-specific campaign and landing pages, ensuring optimization, relevance, and brand consistency.
  • Drive integrated campaign execution across SHI.com, digital channels, content syndication programs, and outbound engagement initiatives.
  • Develop messaging frameworks that align SHI's solutions with higher education priorities, challenges, and industry trends.


Event and Field Marketing Integration
  • Lead strategy and execution for higher education tradeshows, including pre-event promotion, onsite engagement, and post-event follow-up activities.
  • Plan and execute higher education-focused field events and executive engagement experiences in partnership with sales teams and subject matter experts.
  • Drive targeted participation from priority accounts and key stakeholders in strategic marketing experiences.
  • Ensure alignment between event strategies, campaign objectives, and sales follow-up execution.


Partner Alignment and Co-Marketing Execution
  • Manage partner-funded demand generation campaigns, ensuring alignment with SHI priorities and partner objectives.
  • Collaborate with partner marketing teams to integrate OEM messaging and campaigns into higher education marketing programs.
  • Leverage Market Development Funds (MDF) investments to maximize reach, engagement, and pipeline impact.


Measurement, Reporting, and Optimization
  • Analyze campaign performance and track key performance indicators (KPIs) related to engagement, pipeline creation, and revenue impact.
  • Provide regular reporting and actionable insights to stakeholders across marketing and sales organizations.
  • Identify opportunities to optimize campaign performance across events, digital channels, and marketing initiatives.
  • Continuously refine demand generation strategies based on performance data, market trends, and stakeholder feedback.

Other Requirements
  • Completed Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of marketing experience, with a focus on higher education and/or public sector markets.
  • Willingness to travel approximately 15-20%.

Preferred
  • Experience managing partner-funded marketing campaigns and Market Development Funds (MDF) investments.


The estimated annual pay range for this position is $75,000 - $105,000 which includes a base salary and bonus. The compensation for this position is dependent on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and market location and, therefore, will vary from individual to individual. Benefits may include, but are not limited to, medical, vision, dental, 401K, and flexible spending.
