As a Deal Desk Analyst, you will work in close partnership with our Sales organization on the construction, review, approval, and negotiation of business opportunities. Acting as the coordinator between Sales, Revenue Operations, Legal, and Accounting along with FP&A, this role has a wide breadth of responsibilities and exposure to the rest of the business. Organization, strong time management, and concise/clear communication skills are paramount to success. This position reports to the Director of Sales Operations.
In this role, you will make an impact on the day to day efficiency of Dataminr’s quote to cash operations. Working with sales reps to create and modify quotes and service orders, that are in alignment with our pricing and policy expectations, providing guidance to our technology team on enhancements that can improve the overall process, designing training materials, readying our systems for product launches, and responding to purchase-related questionnaires could all be a part of any given day.
The opportunity
Sales Order Process Support: Collaborate with sales to support accurate quote generation, track necessary approvals, and the submission and processing of sales orders, ensuring all documentation is complete and correct.
Pricing Guidance & Strategy: Partner with the sales team to offer insights and guidance on pricing strategies, leveraging data and company guidelines.
Discount Approval Process: Track discount levels to ensure deals are adhering to discount guidelines. Recommend changes to discount levels, if necessary, to ensure deals align to business objectives.
Process Improvement: Identify and recommend improvements to existing deal desk processes to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and scalability.
Training & Support: Provide ongoing training and support to the sales team on deal desk processes, tools, and policies.
RFP Support: Assist in the review and response to RFPs, ensuring timely response by collaborating with the necessary SME.

BA/BS degree or equivalent practical experience, MBA is desired but not required
5-7 years of experience in a deal desk or equivalent role preferably in a SaaS business
Have a strong knowledge and understanding of SaaS pricing and a channel sales motion
Experience partnering with Sales to support, at times complex, deals
Strong experience collaborating with cross functionally to drive process improvements
Experience with supporting RFP responses

The annual base salary range for this position is $84,000 - $123,500. You will also be eligible to receive a discretionary bonus and Company equity. Actual salary will be based on a number of factors including, but not limited to, geographic location, applicant skills, and prior relevant experience.
