Qualifications

• 6+ years in Databricks platform administration/engineering, preferably on AWS.
• Hands-on Terraform experience with networking, IAM, compute, and storage.
• Expertise in Databricks SRA and Unity Catalog administration.
• Proficient in deployment automation using DABs or similar tools.
• Skilled in Python and Linux systems administration.
• Familiarity with AWS services including VPC, IAM, S3, KMS, EC2, and CloudWatch; GovCloud experience is a plus.
• Experience in regulated environments (FISMA High/FedRAMP High is a bonus).
• Strong communication skills with the ability to advise stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Deploy Databricks workspaces from scratch using Terraform on AWS GovCloud/Commercial.
• Design and implement networking for both control and data planes.
• Administer Unity Catalog, including security and data governance features.
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines for Databricks Asset Bundles.
• Define platform governance and best practices for workspace management.
• Automate the provisioning of platform resources and policies.
• Monitor platform health, cost, and utilization; provide optimization recommendations.
• Act as an escalation point for incidents and perform root-cause analysis.
