Job Description
Full Visibility is seeking a Database Administrator III with a Top Secret Clearance to work onsite in Quantico VA.

The Database Administrator will maintain existing databases, monitor, and improve database performance for future expansion requirements.

Responsibilities include, but not limited to:

  • develop,configure, and execute plans for redundancy and disaster recovery as wellas security and safeguarding of the databases.
  • ensureappropriate steps are taken to develop interfaces between the databasesand application.
  • debugissues that are part of a production Windows desktop applicationenvironment. Issues involving improving performance on a query, timelyinserts of data, using bulk- loading techniques, and recovery of databasesare routine to be performed.
  • createand/or modify existing schemas in order to deal with an influx of datarecords.
  • makerecommendations that will be applied long-term and must be able toevaluate record storage options across all currently available databasesystems.
  • ensure24/7 operation of the databases.


Requirements
  • Active Top Secret clearance This position may require the successfulcompletion of a Counterintelligence (CI) Polygraph.
  • Bachelor'sdegree or higher in Software Engineering/Development and six (6) years ofexperience as a Database Administrator

(in lieu of education, ten (10) years specialized work experience as a Database Administrator.)

  • Proficientin and experience in the day-to-day operation, maintenance, management,and troubleshooting of Microsoft SQL or other relational databases,.net (4.0 and above) C# desktop applications (either WinForms or WPF)
  • Proficientin the creation of stored procedures, views, and CLR code, as well asskilled in ensuring optimization and efficiency in this area.
  • Experienceworking with large-scale databases (many billions of items) in an MSSQL or other relational database environment.
  • Experiencecreating new schemas based on prior knowledge of productiondatabases he/she has run, tuned, and maintained in a productionenvironment.
