Responsibilities

I2X Technologies is seeking a Database Administrator / Engineer to support ongoing activities for a customer in Colorado Springs, CO. This position will be on-site and will require an active Secret clearance.

• Plans, conducts, and coordinates software development activities.
• Designs, develops, documents, tests, and debugs software that contains logical and mathematical solutions to business/mission problems or questions in computer language for solutions by means of data processing equipment.
• Applies the appropriate standards, processes, procedures, and tools throughout the development life cycle.
• Applies knowledge of computer hardware and software, subject matter to be programmed in business/mission applications, information processing techniques used, and information gathered from system users to develop software.
• Corrects program errors, prepares operating instructions, compiles documentation of program development, and analyzes system capabilities to resolve questions of program intent, output requirements, input data acquisition, programming techniques, and controls.
• Ensures software standards are met.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science (STEM)
• Active Secret clearance
• 9 years of professional experience
• Sec+ certification
• DBA experience
• Database programming experience, data management
• Database Patch/Lifecycle Management
• Disaster Recover and High Availability Knowledge
• Oracle Database and Products Knowledge
• Postgress Database and Products Knowledge
• Linux Database Installation and Management Knowledge
• Knowledge with relation to database design/coding:
• Object-Relation Mapping
• Data Access Object/Layers
• Must be able to install/configure the Oracle Database on Unix
• Experience with Object Brokers, DAL
• Container (Docker/Podman) knowledge focus on databases

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close, distance, depth perception and telling differences among colors. The employee must be able to communicate through speech with clients and public. Hearing requirements include conversation in both quiet and noisy environments. Lifting may require floor to waist, waist to shoulder, or shoulder to overhead movement of up to 20 pounds. This position demands tolerance for various levels of mental stress.
