Database Administrator

Job Summary

B&A is seeking a Database Administrator to support a federal government client in Northern Virginia. This is a full-time, on-site position. If you are interested and meet the qualifications below, we encourage you to apply for this exciting and impactful opportunity.

  • Anticipated Award: September/October 2026
  • Anticipated Start: September/October 2026
  • Period of Performance: 1 Base Year + 4 Option Years
  • Salary Range: $100,000 - $200,000 annually. Actual compensation will be based on experience, qualifications, certifications, security clearance, and contract funding. This position is contingent upon contract award.

Location
  • On-site in Northern Virginia

Responsibilities
  • Designs and develop database schemas and objects by interpreting data models, creating logical/physical structures using standard diagramming techniques, and implementing/troubleshooting database code and changes.
  • Supports operation of complex relational databases across Linux and Windows environments.
  • Applies database security requirements and contributes to documented backup and recovery procedures.
  • Analyzes complex data and performance issues using logic, pattern recognition, and cost/benefit tradeoffs to deliver effective solutions.
  • Collaborates with stakeholders to meet service quality standards and customer needs.

Education and Experience
  • Entry Level: 0-2 years of specialized experience
  • Journeyman: 2-4 years of specialized experience
  • Full Performance: 4-6 years of specialized experience
  • Senior Level: 6-8 years of specialized experience
  • Subject Matter Expert (SME): 8-12 years of specialized experience

Desired Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree or higher in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Business, or related scientific or technical discipline.
  • Relevant certifications in programming and development, cloud and infrastructure, architecture and design, or other related networking, cybersecurity, or technology disciplines.

Security Clearance
  • Active TS/SCI with an FS Poly adjudicated within the last five (5) years
