The Data Steward is responsible for managing and governing architecture data supporting a stable, fully funded Army program. The position develops and maintains data standards, modeling guidance, and data management practices that support consistent and reusable Army architectures. The Data Steward works with architects, developers, functional analysts, and Government stakeholders to manage architecture data, support data integration and exchange, and maintain the quality and usability of architecture information across the Army architecture community.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:- Develop and maintain architecture data standards, governance practices, modeling guidance, and data management processes for the Army architecture community.
- Manage the Army Integrated Architecture Data Standards (IADS) process, including Information Exchange Specifications (IES), data quality standards, data discovery, controlled access, and architecture data management throughout the data lifecycle.
- Support the development and maintenance of standards that allow verified architecture data to be loaded into the Army Capabilities and Architecture data warehouse and used for enterprise reporting.
- Coordinate with Army Functional Data Managers, the Army Chief Data Officer, the Architecture Data Board, and other Government stakeholders on architecture data requirements, policies, standards, and governance.
- Lead or facilitate IADS working groups and technical meetings to identify data issues, build consensus, assess impacts, and develop action plans.
- Support the exchange and federation of architecture data across approved systems, including the definition of data exchange specifications and interfaces.
- Maintain and update Authoritative Reference Libraries and make approved architecture information available to architects and decision makers through designated architecture tools and repositories.
- Support architecture community transitions involving changes to architecture frameworks, requirements processes, reference libraries, and related data standards.
- Assess architecture data management tools and technologies and recommend solutions that support architecture development, data management, and data reuse.
- Work with architects, developers, functional analysts, and Government stakeholders to verify and maintain accurate, consistent, and reusable architecture models, data repositories, and architecture data.
REQUIRED SKILLS:- Active Secret security clearance.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or other relevant technical field.
- 5+ years of applicable experience creating UAF architecture viewpoints or UAF certification.
- 5+ years of applicable experience creating SysML architecture viewpoints or SysML certification.
- Experience developing DoD CAPDEV, MATDEV, or MBSE architectures.
- Strong communication and team-building skills.
- Ability to lead or facilitate technical meetings and work effectively with Government and contractor teams.
PREFERRED SKILLS:- Experience with architecture data management or data governance in an enterprise environment.
- Experience developing or implementing data management solutions for an enterprise or Community of Interest (COI).
- Experience developing and maintaining data standards, architecture standards, modeling guidelines, or style guides.
- Experience working with architecture models, data repositories, or architecture data environments.
- Experience supporting enterprise architecture data integration, data exchange, or federation.
COMPENSATION:- Salary: $95,000-125,000 (flexible based on experience)
